Gobbling up more of Iberia as Carthage in Rome 2 Hannibal at the Gates, but the Romans have invaded far eastern part of Iberia and taken a province from me. It's on and now I'm going to go all Punic on them.
Try my hand at some Elite:Dangerous - see if I can't fathom out what to do to get to other systems etc...
I might have hit a wall with F1 2013 Normally Monaco is the race that kills it for me, but I fought through that (and did ok I think) only to get totally snagged on Singapore. I just can't do a lap at the minute without hitting the barriers. And I'm waaaay off the pace. I'm going to need alot of practice on that.
I might (as MikeGER mentioned it) get Thunderbolt-Apache Leader out for a quick play...and likely do another AAR on it next weekend.
Yesterday afternoon and last night I played wayyyyyy more Godzilla Smash 3 than I want to admit on a wargaming site. Or anywhere public for that matter. (Though being quite the baroque operator I did so anyway. ;) ) Does make me wish Pipeworks would get their act together and set up a new Godzilla brawler for the PS3, or at least release "Save The Earth" as a port to PS3 on PSN. I don't have room to unpack my spare PS2 just to play that. :'( Heck, I didn't know Pipeworks even still had a license to the property! -- but maybe that's good news in a way?
Anyway. No doubt I shall continue slapping ineffectually at the early German/Hunny hordes as Russia in my Darkest Hour WW1 campaign. May or may not start the Russia campaign in another game soon, so that I'll be able to get all the WW1 games going at the same time for AAR purposes.
With any luck I'll be able to play economic strategy games with the nieces tomorrow afternoon (as part of belated Father's Day feasting): they'll certainly want to play Jaipur, and I may be able to introduce the basic levels of Alhambra (via the card game) or Targa or Jambo/Assante or maybe even the Railways of the World cardgame. Most of those can be played with simplified rules and then scale up by adding in factors. (Alhambra scales up enormously of course -- I have the Big Box, too, but it's a little harder to play the basic card game to introduce the rules that way.)

Being Carthage was rough. I was the Gatea (Getae?) in my most recent campaign. They were doing okay, but then I started playing some WitPAE PBEM and that's what I'll be doing this week-end. That and some Hoplite (boardgame), for which I have posted a tiny AAR. I have to say Hoplite is a surprising game. I trotted up the Spartans and their allies against the Athenians at Tanagra (457 BC) and bungled on the first move. The Athenians advanced at a run (or a significant number did -- their ragged line didn't matter because even the trotting phalanxes
hit the Spartan line after 400 yds. The Spartans and allies were essentially smashed in that first onslaught. Lots of lessons -- which I will try to cover in my next Hoplite AAR.

Going to take off to the coast this weekend, so no gaming for me until late Sunday afternoon.
Distant Worlds: Another week, another patch. Restarted my AAR twice now due to a patch fixing an issue I was having with the game, now the latest patch has a few minor incompatibilities with one of the mods I'm using.
Skyrim: Spent last night updating and reinstalling mods for a new character. Was going to wait for T3ndos new overhaul mod, but the frozen north is calling me.
Wasteland 2: Want to try out the changes made in the last few patches.
Ignore the steam home page completely.......after I purchase State of Decay.

I picked up The Few and Divinity Original Sin at the Steam Summer Sale. I'm anxious to try them; they both look interesting. Also, I want to finish the Civ5 GotM I started last weekend.

Just got done playing a solid session of Distant Worlds: Universe as the Wekkarus. (It's a relief to finally be able to get the game's soundtrack to play properly on the copy installed on the XP half of my hard drive!) They probably fit my play style even better than the Quameno.
Next up: Either some Rome II, Fallen Enchantress: Legendary Heroes, or Crusader Kings 2. If there's time after that, probably Birth of the Federation or Armada 2526 Supernova.
With the 100 year anniversary of start of WWI fast approaching (next Saturday being the 100th anniversary of Austrian archduke Franz Ferdinand's assassination) I've decided to take a break from my usual fixation of WWII history/gaming with some exploration of the first global conflict.
I started off with some light reading of the first book in Ken Follett's latest trilogy, Fall of Giants. Historical fiction covering the period of the great war and not a bad read. I've just started into Max Hastings Catastrophe: Europe Goes to Mar 1914. An excellent nonfiction treatment of the start of the conflict from my favorite war historian. I strongly suspect it will also grow into a series.
On the gaming front (board & electronic) my collection is sadly lacking when it comes to WW1. I'm tempted by the superb looking WW1 Gold but not certain I'm ready to make that level of commitment just yet. To End All Wars looks very promising and am likely to pick it up if the reviews pan out. I don't like to invest in board games unless I have a reasonable chance of finding an opponent...and really don't have any prospects of that with a WWI title at the moment. So, for the time being I'm making due with my one and only game dedicated to that time period, Steam and Iron: The Great War At Sea. I'm working the graveyard shift this weekend but have packed the laptop along with the hope of some peace and quite during the wee hours of my shift...for blowing up dreadnaughts and such.

- designed a scenario in ARMA III for assaulting a village and had great fun
- carried on with designing a map for CMBS based around donetsk railway station
- Epic moments in CKII Parma
- Mafia II loving it

For the last half hour I was playing alongside MiniGus 2 and she was really into the game too. She wants to start playing, only after she confirmed that Rome 2 was "not just for boys." Sunrise, sunset...:)

Definitely. If you have seen any decent tutorial videos, please let me know. I'm open for tips...I can barely figure out what I'm doing.
I also spent some time with Combat Mission: Battles for Normandy and Shock Force. What a great game. I don't know why I don't play the CM games more...they are so much damn fun.
First weekend following the end of my first year teaching and I went crazy with gaming in and amongst the World Cup games. It has been along time since I was able to get this kind of gaming in.
Lets see I played, League of Legends, Mount and Blade, CivV, Unity of Command, Brothers in Arms and Sleeping Dogs.
After being out of town Friday with the wife, I came back and managed a "Total Victory" in CMBN's Kampgruppe Engel campaign's 5th battle against the always very tough Canadians. I now have a new "Most- Hated Weapon" for this game, the PIAT. With Honorable Mention going to the Vickers and Bren machine guns. Booooo... >:(

Yes, the tracers from the Vickers are very shiny. The sounds they make hitting my troops are very dull though. Then the sounds I make are very high pitched. And I look like this.. :tickedoff:
I've been known to cry when Vickers hit my troops. I'm a sensitive type.
Spent some time continuing to work my Wizard towards level 70 in Diablo 3. Up to level 65 now. Due to the Steam Sale, I played a bit of Dead Man's Draw, Magic 2014, One Finger Death Punch, Democracy 3, and Shadowrun Returns. I picked up the new Age of Mythology in a flash sale, but I haven't fired it up yet. I also got my key for Wasteland 2 and downloaded the beta, but haven't fired it up. That should be a well spent $15.
