Title: LNLP Announcement of Ownership Changes
Post by: bayonetbrant on July 02, 2014, 08:39:21 PM
Most of you probably knew this was on the way, but here's the official announcement

QuoteWe would like to welcome David Heath as LNLP's new principle owner and business manager. David will be handling production, sales and the strategic direction of the company. Mark Walker will be handling design for the core system with help from Jeff Lewis. Many of you may already know David was the previous owner of Matrix Games, The Wargamer and The Gamer's Network. Mark and David have worked together before and both have really enjoyed the experience. We are pretty excited and will have a lot more news to report soon.

Wow. Some of us (me) are clearly out of the loop....

Will this signal an increase in development of digital products alongside that to which so many megaflora contributed their essence?

Me too. No idea that was in the works.

Hmmmm... this happened months ago and it's just been "officially" announced now..... ???

It's all a good thing as it lets Mark focus on game design while David will focus on getting them to print.

There's been a couple of growing pains but hopefully that works it self out soon....

So Mark was THE owner, right? And then he sold a majority of the company but is still the main developer?

Should work out great. Plus David is working on in-house printing capability too. More games on the horizon I do believe. O0

Yes, there was Jim Crabtree involved for a while, as well.  We interviewed him a while ago when Mark first gave up ownership to focus on the games: http://grogheads.com/?p=2165

The question that I want to know is, will Mark let somebody else right his rulebooks for him now?   :coolsmiley:

I'm in the initial concepts design stage of creating my own fantasy wargame that I hope to publish one day. I wonder if LnLP will continue to seek out new 3rd party games as much as they seemed to before.

Ubercat, they have a submission section on their website. Try that for starters.

Hello Guys

Let me clear up some things.  This was made official recently and I now own the company.  Mark Walker and everyone else are still at LnL Publishing except Jim Crabtree.  The major thing I am working on is getting our 100 ton die cutter press installed and fully working.  We have really went all out to upgraded the material we used in our production.  We sent a lot of material we printed in house at Red Ball Xpress printers to Kevin Sharp to look over and tell us what he thought.  You can see Kevin going over them and what he thought here http://youtu.be/W1fIrALGmag.  Any other recent information can be found here http://eepurl.com/Yg9uj

Ubercat:  We are always interested in new designs and we welcome seeing what you have when your ready.
GJK: No Mark is still writing the rules but now he has a lot more of a staff to proof them.  I will say Mark has done an excellent job with the Heroes of the Pacific rules.
Staggerwing: What have I been up to........ well I toured with Kiss for a bit...... ok serious I sold Matrix over 4 year ago and worked with them for about two.  After that I went and did freelance work for some other companies on their networks and e-commerce sites.

I think I addressed most of the questions.  I look forward God willing to a new level for LnL Publishing.

^Thanks for all the info, Thrawn! One more question, has JJ Abrams approached you about being in Episode VII?
