Title: The Musketeers an Dr. Who
Post by: GDS_Starfury on July 14, 2014, 12:27:08 AM
well it turns out that besides being a pretty fun show, the new Doctor plays Cardinal Richelieu in BBC's The Musketeers.
and he's doing a bang up job of it.  his performance gives me high hopes for the new Dr. Who season.

I think that Matt Smith has been the best Doctor ever.  this guy though.....  oh, he's my kind of asshole.   O:-)

I started watching Dr. Who from the beginning (the First Doctor, 1963!) at the beginning of 2011 and just recently finished. I have to say that I like Tom Baker the best of all. Of the three newer Doctors I'm not quite sure if I liked Tennant or Smith better. They both seemed pretty much the same. Eccleston just seemed out of place. I do have high hopes for Capaldi.  8)

I've seen a few Baker episodes recently and they just didn't have the "thing" that they had when I was kid.  I really wish Smith hadn't moved on after 3 seasons.  if anything, they're pretty similar but Smith has the advantage of better production values and a broader ability to be snarky in ways that wouldn't have been allowed in the 70's.
