that wounded (not life threatening) German General was in our news too, one ISAF soldier killed (his rank was not reported in our news so)

I have a bunch of friends here who worked with him back when he was a colonel and they were prepping for an Afghanistan deployment.
They have universally praised him as a kick-ass whip-smart guy
