Title: Movember
Post by: Barthheart on November 01, 2014, 08:45:42 AM
Anyone doing this this year? Well I'm gonna give it a go. It's been about 25 years since I last grew a mustache so this should be interesting.

Here I am on this starting day. You need to be clean shaven on Movember 1. I have 30 days to grow the manliest 'stache I can.

If you want to donate you can go here: http://ca.movember.com/mospace/10623629. It's for a good cause.

I'd never heard of this before. What do you do, post weekly pix of your lip fur as it starts to assert its dominance?

I think that starfury is more of a merkin wearing person

PS Bonus points if you know what a merkin is without goggling it

I had to look it up a few months ago.

For some reason the definition hasn't been purged from my brain.

Yet.

Congrats Barth. I always wanted to grow some facial hair but like the hair on top of my skull it comes in sparse and just looks like dirt.

Banned from what?  Growing a mustache/beard?

And if so, banned by who?  I thought you'd ditched all the crazies women?

we have an almost Dickensian client - 2 years ago, half way through event she turned up and just said 'no' (im half IT, half customer facing), when i said its for charity she gave me 100 pounds and said 'go get shaved'

every november is her flagship event

Maybe she can convince you not to grow a beard that doesn't involve giving to charity.

Next year tell her February's charity event is manscaping and see how much she gives you.

Or grow a merkin.

But if you grew it, it wouldn't be a merkin, now would it?

sue her/the company at the European Court for humiliating your human rights!
(there is no way to order an employee to not have a trimmed mustache ...maybe with the exception of class4 high risk bio or chem labs or clean room environment only when the mandatory protective mask/gear would not seal good enuf with the beard in question)

let them fire you! ...get hundered-tausends of bucks as for compensation, then do a tour and hold payed speeches at some SJW events and payed TV events, write a book about  ...and then relocate to some Caribian Islands...or what ever place suits you most :)
