GOG has started their Fall Sale.
Also, you get free games (perhaps even every day of the sale), and you collect a stamp every day.
Once you reach 7 stamps (or so) you get another free game and a free (crappy indie) movie.
Original Mount & Blade is free for next 48 hours. Didn't look like anything happened when I clicked on 'free' picture but when I checked my library it had been added. Rest of M&B games for only $10.
Wow. So many games, so little time.
Cheap games, free games, oh my!
Tanks for the heads up! O0
Im not seeing M&B.

Im not seeing M&B.
Mine was located halfway down the front page...said something like get it for free...clicked on it and received it short time later. You may have to be logged in to see it, not sure.
It's still there. Not quite half way down. You don't have to be logged in to see it.

got it thanks. O0
oh... I was thinking it was a Total War kinda thing. :(
Mount and Blade is fantastic- I can't believe you don't already have it! Give it a chance, it will grow on you. :smitten:
Just a heads up that you may have to log off and then log back in to collect Stamp #2.

Thanks! That saved some frustration.
I picked up Rise of the Triad (redux) for 2.99. Can't beat that for a mindless shooter. Actually runs pretty good on my modest rig. My only complaint is that they don't tell you about the SAVE game and LOAD game keys. I hate that checkpoint crap.

I'm with you on this one. I hate games that limit saves to certain points. It's a game killer for me. This is especially true for FPS's.

RotT uses F5 for SAVE and you can hit F6 to LOAD the last saved game after you start a level. Works OK and beats the hell out of having to play through from the beginning of a checkpoint if you screw up. The doc is pretty abysmal. No readme. No keyboard guide. But, hey, for 3 bucks........

Given how many times I've nearly picked it up, grabbing it for free was obviously a no-brainer. And I'm seriously considering getting
Warband too. 8)
They've got NEXUS: The Jupiter Incident on for $1.99 right now. It's a pretty fun capital ship space combat sim. The latter stages run a bit too much into the trial-and-error method of winning but for $2, it's a good game if you're into the genre.

I picked it up on a previous sale but haven't even installed it yet.
There is some big mod for it that everyone uses, right?
I can't believe I missed M&B! Oh well, I got Heroes of Might & Magic 2 for my son for $4.99. That's a great game to start younger kids on...
Smuggler 5 just come on sale at Gog for £1.59, its a turn based elite, good if your no good at space joystick fighting in elite
Decided to give Jade Empire a try.....I remember having it on the Xbox, but never finished it, but for $3 worth a shot again...like the martial arts feel.
I might get Jade just for Kicks at that price, thanks
Jade Empire is perhaps Bioware's most underrated RPG. Great story.
Got Smugglers 5 which is a type of game that I like.
Picked up Jade Empire only because the price is so low. I did not like the Bioware Star Wars games very much, and this one has real time combat which I'm not a fan of. Still for $3.00 it is like ordering a bad beer at a bar if this ends up being a mistake.

I loved that game.
The only real problem was how you had a choice at the end which made nearly all your moral choices throughout the game itself irrelevant.
I've got Jade Empire on Steam, and tried twice to get through it. I had it on the old Xbox too. In all three cases I couldn't get through it; it didn't engage me unfortunately.
This GoG sale is well designed! put everything on sale, so you have to grab it before it goes. Then keep looking on the 40mins sales for other bargains, but when you see one, spending £1 isn't worth it so you spend £10 on sales your waiting to come-up on the 40mins sales. then the bundle sales that are just so tempting value. I set out to get xenonouts because it was on sale and I was realy wanting it, Ive spent £125 That I didn't plan, but the entertainment value is great well worth it, I spend £50 on a single game sometimes I don't even enjoy. then there is DRM-Free, I can play on any of my PCs , I realy am going to just shop with gog from now on I think.
has anybody noticed the there is a chance to get 2 sets of 7 stamps, for free games, maybe they will be different games

Bioware seems to have a knack for doing that :P
^ Ain't that the truth.
Well, got my last stamp today for Witcher 2 + Gamers movie.
Since I already have the Witcher 2, I'm now wondering what to do with it :P

The process of getting the game allows you to gift it to someone. So find someone with a GOG account who's too busy/lazy to visit their site 7 days in a row. ;)
Definitely head over to the Game Donation Thread. I'm certain someone will snatch it up.
I bought it myself a month or two ago when it was on dirt cheap Steam sale, but I've yet to install it.

this pretty much describes Mirths dating life.
Im not saying it doesn't describe mine but, I'm the one picking on Mirth with this post. :))
Argh, I'm so weak! Along with my free copy of The Witcher 2, I also picked up the original Witcher (Enchanced Edition, Directors Cut), along with Prince of Persia and Raiden Legacy. At least I only spent like $15.00, but still... :idiot2:

It does capture the essence of most of my Friday nights.
