Anyone playing this? I guess I knew it was out, but unless it is on Steam these days I don't even think of the game. (Of course there are some noteworthy wargaming sites; Matrix, Battlefront)
I loved Battlefield 2 Bad Company. Is there a major improvement on the Frostbite engine? How's the online community?
I'm feeling a need for a new shooter. I've played out Rage and Borderlands is ok. I want destructible environments for my next shooter.
I've got this and play it every so often. The destructible environment is just awesome! If you enjoy FPS games this is a must buy.
That being said I enjoy playing online by myself. However, a buddy from college also bought the game and we play together using the voice chat feature. We get in the same squad and have become killing machines in the helicopters and tanks. Going back to playing by myself is just not as much fun after playing with some one you can actually talk to and organize some sort of coherent assault on a position.
Well I was going to be pissed I needed another client. Then I realized that I already had origins due to BF2BC, Dragon Age and SWTOR. It's so hard to keep up with all of these damned clients.
^I know its getting ridiculous. I remember when I got my current computer and installed all the different clients. I forgot to turn off the auto start up feature on them all so the next time I restarted my computer I had all the login screens popping up everywhere.
I forgot to mention that the one weird thing about BF3 is that when you launch the game from Origin it takes you to a browser that shows all your stats. From that browser you can look through the servers and pick the one you want to play on and launch it from there. It took some getting use to but I think it works out well especially if you are going to be playing with friends.
Playing throught the single player campaign on normal. This is much or difficult than BF2BC. And the graphics are AMAZING!

Yeah the graphics are pretty awesome, especially when you think you are behind cover and it gets destroyed around you.
Yeah like the scene where they send you to man a 249 covered only by sheet metal against serious RPGs fire.
I don't have this game for the PC (I haven't had a FPS on the PC since Day of Defeat was free), but I do have it on the PS3, and I must say, besides NHL, this is probably the best EA game I've played in a very long time... though one of the most annoying things is when people don't know how to leverage the stand-off distance of vehicle weapon systems! >:(

I still keep playing this the PS3. It's all I play in the PS3. Crazy fun. Now with the rented servers, it's easier to find servers in Asia.
Whats the limit on the number of people on a map with the PS3?
Only 24 but it's just about right in my opinion. More space to maneuver and organize.
Sometimes 32 to 64 can be over-chaotic and life can be too short.
