Saw this while meandering around YT looking for other gameplay vids; the player has several other videos of PA with small and large sets of opponents.
I think there's a 40-player video running around, too.
Who would have thought we'd live to see the day where 40 people simultaneously fought a
Total Annihilation free for all on a truly 3D world? 8)
Wow, that's crazy. Love it!
i didnt watch it all but it did look a blast
i couldnt play it, its definitely learning what units to build right off the bat and what to do but i could have watched much more
I agree it's a game I would enjoy watching more than playing. RTS games generally aren't my thing.
I had to quit about 20 minutes before the end; at that time there was a red and blue faction still going (with red much stronger), a purple faction that the others apparently thought they had destroyed but which was secretly rebuilding and which had reached a moon and was doing something there; and then an orange-and-blue team cooperating on a moon, one of which had been put out and so the other teammate was cannibalizing their stuff. (Possibly this was the same as the large blue team back on the planet.)
I've played enough TotalA back in the day to recognize generally what was going on, but yeah at the level of zoomout Rofl was playing on I only had a general idea what was happening.
He's been playing some Dawn of War: Soulstorm Ultimate Apocalypse recently, too; reminding me to check in and see if the (planned) final version has at last been released.
