Title: Coming Soon From Hunted Cow
Post by: bayonetbrant on December 10, 2014, 06:58:01 PM
Just got this in from Hunted Cow

QuoteWe've got a couple of new games coming out on the 18th Dec as well!

First up is Pentaction: Medieval, which was influenced by chess, checkers and rock-paper-scissors-lizard-spock. Players take turn about to move a piece with the aim to capture the enemy crown. Units are hidden from the other player until they are revealed after the first combat. Each unit has a stength and weakness vs. another unit in the game. This can be referenced to the right of the board area and I've attached an image (PentactionRulesImage.png) showing how it works :)

There is also hotseat multiplayer and a tactical mode where units have hitpoints and inflict more damage if they have the tactical advantage which leads to a longer, more in-depth game.

Pentaction: Medieval is releasing on iPhone, iPod & iPad on the 18th Dec priced at $1.99 with no IAPs

Next up, we're releasing Civil War: Gettysburg which features the entire Gettysburg battle (obviously!) but it allows allows you to play each of the three days are individual scenarios as well as a 'Twilight' scenario covering the key actions from the 2nd and 3rd day of the battle. Also included is six additional scenarios covering the battles of Thoroughfare Gap, Furr Farm, Goose Creek, Ewell's Chapel, Marsh Cree and Little Round Top.

We've had a lot of feedback on the previous hex wargames regarding not having the stats in the game, so this time we'd added in-depth reference charts so all the melee, ranged and terrain modifiers can be quickly looked up from within the game. We've also added day / night effects and ammo which effects a units ranged ability when low.

Civil War: Gettysburg is releasing on iPad & Mac on the 18th Dec priced at $9.99 with no IAPs

So keep yours eyes peeled for some new coolness!

Despite the protestations of many around here, Macs are, in fact, still computers ;)

Gotta love a computer that works right out of the box, rather than needing to be 'fixed' before you even get to use it.

Yes...i meant windows pc. Actually, it's Apple themselves who did call windows pcs, pcs....just check the apple adds on youtube...hi pc, hi mac... ;)

Tablets are also computers btw.

It has nothing to do with pro windows or pro mac OS

It's about the fact that they produce good games for only one kind of pcs/tablets.

I suppose if their titles are successful enough on the iOS platform there might be a chance they can fund an Android developer to port it and open up another market stream. You'd think it would be worth doing, if the port itself is possible. Also, you see a lot of mobile titles hitting Steam nowadays - which can only be another market worth exploring.
