Another good article, Michael.  I especially agree with the points about overconfidence and over-reliance on technical intelligence.

My uncle died during the Battle of the Bulge on 26 December 1944, nearly seventy years ago. It makes me feel good to see that the Battle of the Bulge still matters.

Worked for me today.

Kind of wish I had put the Blu for the old Hollywood movie in while Bro and the girls were here. (We tried watching The Empire Strikes Back, but for some reason the girls weren't as interested in that as in Ep4 -- or maybe they had just overdosed a bit, since hey had only seen Star Wars for the first time that morning.)
