Title: Farming Simulator 2015
Post by: JudgeDredd on December 30, 2014, 02:13:19 AM
Please - for the love of god someone stop me buying Farming Simulator 2015!

I had 2013 and it was fun...repetitive, but fun. Much in the same way Euro Truck Simulator 2 is.

But this is on sale at Steam and it's got great reviews....so please, please stop me parting with my cash  :-\

Don't buy it unless you can eat what you farm. [emoji14]

I have EuroTruck 1&2 and the drive is great, I have Historic farm sim too, so I would advise buying "The Crew" its an MMO with only passable graphics, but you can drive all over the full USA, the cars can be upgraded etc.. and tuned ans so-on, I tell you its really good fun when you get out of the intro mission into open world.

Only at grogheads will someone ignore your request to help them not spend money on a game by recommending that you spend your money on a different game.

And only here I can read about a game like farming simulator where I have zero interest in farming, but go off searching for reviews and videos to see if I should consider it as well:). Such a sickness.

Luckily, the reviews I found didn't paint such a positive picture and from the videos I could see it becoming repeatitive.  It wouldn't be bad to learn a thing or two about farming, but being $20 even on sale seems a little high for me to give it a try at this point.  Maybe in a future sale when it is dirt cheap:)

Now that you've planted the seed, it's only a matter of time before your need for this game will grow.

I didn't even cry out for help myself, just bought it as soon as I read JD's plea.

I think from now on I'm going to evaluate my purchases as if I were using my favorite IPA as currency:
*How many $2.00 DogfishHead 90 min IPAs is this (or that) game worth to me?*

I am now ten IPAs poorer.  :(

... i have shamefully to admit that this morn i check a link to a 'Construction Simulator 2015' at Steam :-[  ::)

fortunatly it didnt seem to had a 3d-clickable cockpits where you can actually work with the digger like flying a plane in DCS or Xplane10.... Phew, that was a close call  ^-^
