Meanwhile, what do you think would happen to you or me if we decided to disable a smoke detector, smoke pot, threaten to kill passengers and flight staff, take a swing at one of those flight attendants but just miss, and just generally be a dickhead?
If you answered "I'd have to post $100,000 bond and have my passport taken away, but not spend a minute in jail," you'd be incorrect. The FBI arrested him (I can only think this is because it was on a plane) and released a 17-page (!) report on the incident. So there's the bonus that this was TOTALLY not a waste of government resources or time.
It's all because of a sleeping pill! So, oh, it's okay to be a little sociopath that has no business breathing, let alone being near people.
If one of us did this, we'd disappear and never be heard from again. One can only wish this same outcome in this case.
