Title: Decisive Campaigns: The Blitzkrieg from Warsaw to Paris
Post by: Keunert on May 01, 2012, 05:03:03 AM
I currently have two France games going. Both against very experienced players. I control the germans and Olivier decided
to do an aar. So if you are interested in this great game, or in the soon to come Case Blue title you can read it here:

the aar is on full steam now. as the aar is one week behind the game Olivier gave me permission to comment and read it.
he did several aars before and was able to stop the Axis twice. I hope to do history justice...but allied losses are low as he chose
to defend as far behind as the Dyle plan allowed it.

For the uninitiated, Case Blue was the 1942 German offensive that got a bit side tracked at Stalingrad.

And because of that 'Case Blue' was the first in the 'Case' series to make it onto the Failblog

Olivier updated the AAR up to the dutch surrender. His losses stay low but my Panzers stand already deep in french and belgian territory.

I'm enjoying your aar.....I was late getting into this great game, I've been playing through the Poland scenario the past week trying different strategies, etc.  These aar's are very helpful....Thanks.

We finished the game and history was repeated! i did not encircle much of the french. but their fighting retreat cost them araound 80% of their fighting power, the BEF comes close with 70% losses. German only used two third of their loss allowance. This was great game and i look forward to play Olivier again in pbem, but this time as beta testers of Case Blue.
