Each nation with a navy has a distinct tradition. With the Russians it's spontaneously combustible subs.
It combines the excitement of the navy and the air force: Join the navy. See the world. Go down in flames.
It wouldn't hurt my feelings any if every sub that Russia has burnt, sank, or was otherwise neutralized.
