Good Luck McGlynn. O0
Twelve rounds, man. Could have gone either way! What a fight. O0
No offense, but wasn't punching accuracy a problem the last time we did this?
I just looked and " Toothless" had 100% accuracy. I looked again and both fighters had 100% accuracy.
Don't get me wrong, I am not upset about losing and I know you are doing this out of the goodness of your heart.

It was a issue, however the game has not been updated in a long time so that stat is off, however in game the accuracy is not 100%.

A TKO by "The Weasel" in the ninth round. Was behind going into that round, but my fighter cranked it up.
Thanks for running this as it's fun to read.
I had forgotten about this! It looks like the battle between Morales and Beefcake was seesawing back and forth from the commentary but the punch stats are pretty lopsided. Yes fun reading and thanks for doing this.
Humbug! Humbug!
This is very cool...thanks for posting and having the detail links.

Curse your fighter and his obvious use of sorcery! ;D
These fights are rigged I tell ya. 8)
The Weasel's eye was bothering him too much so he decided to end the fight right then and now.
"Points? I don't need no stinking points!"
2:04 Wackaviski's left eye is turning ugly as the swelling under it worsens. 0:28
2:16 Wally Wackaviski works himself free. Now the fighters move back to ring center. 0:28
2:33 * Mason hits the deck after a huge uppercut and he looks hurt. 0:28
2:36 Wackaviski is ushered to a neutral corner by Morton and the count begins..
Actually in round 11, both fighters were hammering each other pretty good.
Round 2 is up and looks like the Champ went down, however he has been there before.

Some great rounds, thanks PE!
I hope McGlynn gets a piece of Iron Mike! :2funny:
Your using TKO 2.5 to simulate this, correct?

I am probably the only other Grog in the tournament that has it let alone plays it a lot.
I figured with that knowledge I would be unbeatable in making up a fighter.
I have been beaten in the first and second fights both times using different stats. Probably by guys who just picked #s.
What are the odds on this I wonder?
I will say the commentary that was on " toothless Ivan's " first losing bout was probably the best I have ever seen in the game.
Did you use to play the boardgame that I believe the PC game came from? I think it was just " title bout ". I used to love to play " ringside seat " on the Commodore 64 I believe.

You got me on that one. I have seen so many different results that appear to be consistent at times and then others not. I did not play the board game but as a kid I remember Ringside Seat, although I was way too young to really appreciate the game!

When asked about comments that insinuate his success as a boxer was a matter of random chance Ivan Mannanov's response was, "it is but a trifle...".

My fighter that beat you was runner up last year, same stats this year - no random number choosing, carefully researched studies on how to kick your ass
And it worked :P
Then I feel much better about the stats in the game.
Round 3 posted.......
It's starting to get interesting leading up to the Title Fight this weekend!
Just to Note: You make have to hit refresh to see the up-dated bracket.

Cmon Geek - mans a wrecking machine
And "The Weasel" does it again! This time he didn't waste any of the crowd's valuable time and ended the fight in round five after being embarrassed in the first round when he 'slipped' and fell all on his own:
3:00 * Wackaviski walks into a hook and folds like an accordion. He went down section by section. 4:6
3:00 Milham motions Tyson to a neutral corner and starts the count. 4:13
3:00 1
3:00 * The timekeeper rings the bell and Wackaviski is spared to fight another round.
2:19 * That punch caught Tyson clean. He brings his arms up in a defensive posture. Now he pitches forward! Tyson goes down after a delayed reaction to the uppercut by Wackaviski!
Hang in there "Boom Boom" O0
I was robbed!!! :)
Round 4 has been posted with some surprising results....

So close! Thank you for a great tournament and all the work you've done for this. Lot of fun reading the AAR's.
I will be posting the round by round action via post starting at 3:00 PM EST.
LET'S GET READY TO RUMBLE
PE
Tough fight, but The Weasel wanted to end it before the points were needed:
2:27 * Wackaviski unleashes a two fisted barrage and McSluggins is driven backwards and he's been knocked through the ropes!! McSluggins has been knocked completely out of the ring!!
2:31 * Rodriguez stops the fight as McSluggins goes down for the third time in the 11th round!! Wackaviski is the winner by TKO at the 2:32 mark!!
The Weasel thanks those who cheer for his Cinderella story. His poor humble background growing up in the streets of Warsaw enables his determination to succeed and he looks forward to his rematch with The Fury.
