Back in the Cold War days we had a Vulcan stationed here at Offutt AFB and they would do flying demos at the annual open house. It was a sight not to be missed. Shortly after i saw one fly i went to see "Thunderball" for the first time at a James Bond marathon. Probably some of the best Vulcan film footage ever.
We now have a Vulcan on display at the Strategic Air and Space Museum just down the road from Omaha.
I feel very lucky to have gotten to see one outside the UK.

A couple of guys in the HBO series were actually the real-life Marines described in the book; one of them even played himself. I've watched it a couple of times and it doesn't get old.
