I have a few ASL pieces and was wondering rough what it's worth? I am a Squad Leader guy and ASL wasn't in my cards.

I'm no expert, but I have sold and bought my share of ASL stuff on ebay. In general, you will probably do better if you can separate into the original sets, and sell with the boxes and boards. But if you can't, you can probably just sell the counters by nationality. The good news for you is that ASL stuff retains its value pretty well, and there is always someone ready to buy. My guess is that each tray is worth $5 - $15 depending on how rare the counters are.
AT is right - ASL stuff does retain its value quite well but much of the older AH Versions of it are dropping in price and becoming obsolete. For example, the original "Gung Ho" is has recently been made obsolete with the release of "Rising Sun" by MMP. The 1st edition of the rulebook is often just given away to new players by old players who pick up the 2nd edition as well. But I saw just recently a guy had a mostly complete collection of mostly the older AH versions of everything and he was asking about a grand for it. Don't know if he ever got that much but that's not out of the norm for a complete collection.
If you want to list out what you have, I can give you some better ideas of what the going prices typically are.
A thought might be to just throw up a query on the CSW Marketplace and see what people are willing to offer there. CSW has a much higher concentration of ASL players than we do :)
Thanks guys! I need to sit down and go though all the pieces and see what I have. I have a bunch of Avalon Hill General magazines from the 80's too. Going to have to scan all the scenarios
for future PC/ other board game conversions.
I have 2 7/8 Squad Leaders (missing one board for the 7/8) and 2 complete Cross of Iron, Crescendo of Doom and GI: Anvil of Victory. Figure I will keep SL.
These may go......
Lock 'n Load: Band of Heroes
Lock 'n Load: Dark July – The Battles for Prochorovka
Lock 'n Load: Not One Step Back
Lock 'n Load: Swift and Bold
Lock 'n Load: Noville – Bastogne's Outpost
Lock 'n Load: Heroes of the Blitzkrieg
Lock 'n Load: Heroes of the Gap
AH - PanzerBlitz
AH - Panzer Leader
AH - The Arab-Israeli Wars
Fire Team - 1987
Eastern Front Tank Leader
AH Firepower 1984
Close Assault 1983
Not listing what I am keeping :))
I might could be talked into helping you out with Close Assault

That one in the bottom right of your picture isn't from the LNL series of games. It's from the World at War series, tho still published by LNLP.

Yup. Picked it you for the scenarios. Was going to get the WAW series, but not really into big unit fights.
I got to really look into the value of these games. Most are still wrapped, un punched or as BoB v2 in nice trays - LOL! Not even should where to start. Guessing BGG and E bay. ???
Are you still taking inventory of your ASL stuff before listing it? I'm curious to know what you've got.

Me too! :)
I have to sit down and review the pieces/ parts and inventory it all. I can tell you that it's all pre 1990, but I am guessing 1986 is the newest set. ;)

Just remember that you need Band of Heroes to play Swift and Bold, it's only an expansion set.
and you need both of them to play Not One Step Back

I have the version of Band of Heroes from 2005 with the Matrix Games logo. Do I need updated rules as well?

Yer good to go. If you really want the latest I could send you a 3.1 version or you can sign up for LnLP forum and down load the "Living" version for Heroes of the Pacific.
The changes in these are so small that you would be fine if you just stuck with the rules set you have.
Cool. O0
Richie61, don't forget to give us a heads up here when you put your hoard up for sale so we can get 1st crack at 'em!
