This is what you have to put up with as a developer when you release your game on Steam :

You compare a Hex/Text game with graphic bonanzas like Batman and Call Of Duty? Now we aren't talking about the quality of gameplay, we are talking about the resources needed (and there-by justification) for AAA prices.

But back to the topic. again, this isn't about quality of gameplay...this is about PRICE, pure and simple. A hex/text game with plastic risk counters and chess pieces on a map cannot be compared IN THE LEAST to animated graphic bonanzas with all the work and resoources needed to compile anime models. (And even then it still does not justify 60$ but at least they have something to point to that actually took serious graphics work) It has nothing to do with the quality of gameplay, how long gameplay would last or what you"Feel" you get out of it for your money. THIS is a hex/text plastic stickfigures on a map game...REGARDLESS of the depth of it's gameplay or immersive maps, graphs, statsitcal text screens and micromanagement spreadsheets.

well , the way it went for me was as I said above, intrigued at a new title, saw page = shocked at price, espcially when seeing relase date = confusion = read store page further trying to figure it out, then forum, see defenders = perplexed = go back to the store page and look closer in curiosity = see publisher is Slitherine = roll eyes and everything was explained instantly..lmao..= couldn't resist saying it out loud.

Who cares about the gameplay, it's all about the graphics !  :idiot2:

it's a whole different ballgame... but people(e.g. kids) still think that an 18 yrs content creator styling dust'n'rubble in 32bit-float is way more expensive(e.g. important) than a 65+yrs, retired database collector working for the love of his life and filling a game with immersive facts... they'll never understand!  :tickedoff:

The judgment of anyone who hyphenates thereby is a priori suspect...

There were some technical difficulties at the beginning of the stream, but the chosen game difficulty was challenging and i guess fog of war was off.

You can watch the stream again  : http://www.twitch.tv/slitherinegroup/b/676873199
I don't think the other game options were explained in the stream.
