Looks great and the animations etc really keep in the style of the boardgame.
Took me a little bit but the more I watched the trailer the more I started enjoying it. Looking forward now to release.

It's a boardgame conversion..not sure if it has been out on IOS yet though.

I did see the boardgame in a bookstore the other day and it looks fantastic. The game also has an expansion, Shadows over Normandie, where the Nazis awaken Cthulhu's dark forces to aid them. I think this is a French game, as it was difficult to get outside of Europe for some time.

I bought the core game last year. Off Amazon or CSI iirc.

There will be an iOS version. But also not released.
The art work really puts me off.
Hopefully it's a good translation of the game. I wonder if you'll be able to throw together skirmish matches, particularly with more than 2 players?

thanks for bringing this game to my attention, Ive not looked forward to a game this much since LnL Heroes Of Stalingrad, I do hope its released on the iPad

For some reason as I get older I am less impressed by the shiny/flashy/cartoony animations. I understand its a style and that they are differentiating themselves from the competition and trying to appeal to a younger set but its passing me by. I would love to have ASL/Command Ops or LnL Heroes of Stalingrad etc for the iPad which would have more rich game information and less gee whiz effects .

I have just bought a cheap windows 8 tablet, and Im putting windows wargames games on, the expensive surface pro 3 the one with windows 8.1 , a proper windows version not the mobile windows RT, you can have your wargames on a windows tablet like LnL HiS
Ive just installed the banner saga worked fine.
the problem with windows tablets is the screen is shrunk so button are small, so get an adapter to use a mouse, or a stylus on the surface pro.
the bonus of a windows tablet is VASSAL , so you can play ASL on the couch with your feet up

I think they could sell vassal mods on ipad, as its a closed Operating system, I don't think a file can be inserted by your self has to go through the iTunes shop I think that's right?
Fully understand. Graphics aren't a priority to me really...but this looks like a fun diversion from the more serious taxing grog games..which I'm more than happy about.

It looks like they have been working quite a bit on this title since released. It now has the Cards usable and new maps with the addition of being able to play up to 24 turns in a game.
FYI
I still can't get the mouse to work.
TBH, I never followed the release too closely so I never knew there were mouse issues. I played a couple scenarios, and although I did like the production values, it was too limited imo. I'm looking forward to revisiting it and think I will set aside some time to play. The cards look fantastic and a quick glance at them makes it evident that it will be a whole new game.

I thought the cards were still being tested for bugs? And that they didn't have them all in yet?
But yes, the cards add much surprise to the game. That's why we were disappointed to see them missing on release. I hope they get them tidied up and the AI can use them reasonably well. :)
