Early HBO movie. A bit difficult to watch but a very good flip on a Bladerunner vibe.
Yeah, that was a fun B-movie. Despite the low budget, the weird noir setting is interesting.
Something reminded me of it last year (playing Eldritch Horror or some such). I had forgotten the name of it for a long time; finally tracked it down and watched this YouTube version. I had actually seen the movie back in the 90s (on HBO I guess?).
The sequel wasn't quite so in-your-face with the weirdness but it wasn't completely terrible.

There was another movie, not quite as old as this, which featured two friends in some weird modern occult magic setting that was interesting, but I can't recall the name of that one at all. Probably made for Showtime or something... I dunno. It was similar but had a bit more comedy focus IIRC. That one came out in the 2ks I think. Wish I knew wtf it was called.
