Interesting theory but beyond my ken.
I bet that article kilt in Glasgow.
The whole thing will get scotched during peer review.
Anyone posting puns should be tartan fettered.
these puns are all plaid out now.
I believe we haggis room for one more.
There's always room when one is hungry to Edinburgh-er. Especially one with onions, cheese, and BBQ sauce.
King Arthur's really Scottish? The next thing you know the Pope will be from Argentina.
News that's he's Scottish may tarnish his Stirling reputation.
Keep up the puns, guys, and the moderators will soon have this thread under Loch and key.

I think I read this theory before, though not (apparently?) from this guy. In a 90s super-detailed history on the Dark Ages called The Barbarian Conversions. Part of it necessarily talks about early medieval sources of pre-1000s European history and how they compare with one another. I'll try to remember to check when I get home.
Way to go, JP...gotta mess up the threads with thread-pertinent information! ;D
Not very often that someone actually re-rails a thread.....
King Arthur. Well, I didn't vote for him.

Listen, strange women lyin' in ponds distributin' swords is no basis for a system of government. Supreme executive power derives from a mandate from the masses, not from some farcical aquatic ceremony.
