IIRC you need an indian meterologist running through a rainstorm first

I think you're thinking of
2012.

No. 2012 was neurtrinos from the sun cooking the Earth's core. Know your Roland Emmerich disaster movies.
ha, in your face, i was right!!!
Err...no. You're both wrong. Go watch it again.
Technically it starts with a minute or two of the solar system doing some funky lining-up thing, foreshadowing the "disaster" that was about to fall upon mankind.
What you were thinking of is the black (COUGH excuse me, "African American") scientist in the back of a taxi going through the rain, in India, to meet his scientist friend because of some "odd" readings they were getting in a mine there. He did get out and got rained on, too. So you were kinda close there 'geek, but you were likely thinking of 2012.
Also, 2012 was a laugh riot from beginning to end.
dammit, foiled again :-\

Aliens are a much better explanation than the crappy data being cited (in that article, no less) for global "warming."

And
2012 has more accurate science than any of that data, too.
Fun fact: Day After Tomorrow was (based on an article) written by the guy who wrote Wolfen and The Hunger, Whitley Strieber: a guy who has written numerous putatively non-fiction books about being abducted by aliens, and who also wrote a book where he and a friend survive WW3 with their families and trek around a post-apocalyptic wasteland.
Thus guaranteeing its scientific accuracy. :D
(That being said, The Wolfen is pretty damn good. So was his other non-traditional werewolf book, The Wild.)

No, according to the article it's somehow

Oh yeah. He's the guy who wrote the book with Art Bell.
Certainly DAT was the highest-grossing movie made from his work by far. O0
That blob of cold water interestingly enough is from the glacial meltoff from Greenland. A place I just happened to have visited this summer. Beautiful rugged country, well the south is anyway

And co-written by Art Bell. Just sayin'! :)

I loved listening to Coast to Coast AM, back in the day. Weird, wacky stuff!
I still listen, on Youtube.

Yay! Back to the 900s when the world was more hospitable!
