Yeah, Universal has been wanting to go for a Classic Monsters Shared Universe Avengersmoneyfranchise for a while. Heck, to be fair they invented the concept with Frankenstein vs. the Wolf Man (though they proved kind-of inept about how to keep it going afterward.)
I would have been happy with launches based on their recent Wolf Man and Dracula Untold, both of which I enjoyed a lot more than I was expecting, but eh... I have no great confidence this will work out (especially with those, um, auteurs involved). But I'm not rooting for it to fail; I'll be happy if it's even good.
