It was certainly a good good day. Friends and family and LOTS of food and football! Today will be filled with games and then Saturday and Sunday will be an orgy of football that should sate the most pigskin hungry appetite!
I will definitely be getting in Civ IV. And if we can all connect it, there will be a Grogheads Warlock game Saturday night. My buddy just picked up EUIV, so, there may some mp dabbling in that and we'll see what else all this time off brings.

this weekend will be working and a visit to the parents - where and when i can there will be WitP AE PBEM, Forged Alliance and im dabbling with a Mordheim purchase
Played the new Batman: Arkham Knight sequel missions released last week already (both short but pretty decent, the Catwoman vs Riddler one was certainly the best of all the short DLC campaigns, and by far the funniest of all of them -- final fight was freaking difficult, but I was using the Meriweather/Newmar skin so that was great.)
Currently working on Amazing Spider-man 2, which so far I'm enjoying but I've always liked the devs' efforts and I really really liked the previous game, so unless the game completely falls apart I should be happy.
May be able to get into the Warlock (2?) multiplayer game Saturday night (the early slot, 7pm Central Standard US). Not sure yet.
Preparing for a Decisive Campaigns: Barbarossa multiplayer parallel DAR with Bartheart, which should start this weekend (probably Saturday). I'll be playing Stalin, he'll be playing the winner. ;) Check the AAR Digital category for our threads.
Odds are pretty good I'll continue my Mordheim campaign, also being DAR'd although I may not DAR everything. Anyone looking about whether to buy the newly full-release can check out the first mission so far. (Anyone commenting in the thread gets named onto the team.)

Long weekend for me. Nothing else to do but play games.
Fallout 4 I think I'm on the last stretch of the main quest. I plan to try and wrap that up this weekend. After that I'll probably cut back on my Fallout 4 time until early next year when the creation kit gets released. There's still plenty for me to do, and I'm still enjoying the game, but I am starting to get a been there done that feeling.
Starcraft 2 With the release of Legacy of the Void released the other day, I decided to finally pick up Heart of the Swam. Going to try and get through Heart of the Swarm campaign in December so I can play Legacy of the Void when I'm on vacation between Christmas and New Years.
Elite The release of Fallout 4 forced me to cut out something and that ended up being Elite. With the end of the main quest in sight I want to get back into Elite. In the process of fitting out my Asp. Its not going to be top of the line for awhile but I can afford to get the basics required to turn it into a decent exploration ship.
Scourge of War: Waterloo Had this gifted to me on Steam last week but Fallout 4 has taken up almost all of my spare gaming time.
They're will also be some CMANO scenario work and maybe some Flashpoint Germany Reforged as well.
In between work around the house and corralling the family, will try to get further in to Assassin's Creed Syndicate while patiently waiting for Charlemagne TW.
Oh....Fuck....They are going to make me go on tour again? It will take a mountain to MOVE me out of this chair.
Took today off work and finished the game known as 'Christmas shopping'. Now it's time for more 'me shopping', ;D
While not frivolously spending money, I'll be playing...something. Most likely Hard West, World in Conflict (again) and something strategy-wise.
Just got back from The Garden State for Thanksgiving. This is going to be a time-limited weekend, but if I do have time, and pick it up, I'll be giving Attila Total War a go. Otherwise maybe some more Verdun.

Well I took the Turnpike up to 287 and took 287 around NYC until it links back up with 95 near Connecticut. I never knew NJ was so damn big until I started doing this drive. Man alive, you can be driving north in NJ for almost 3 hours before you get to NY.
It is a different world, though; Northern NJ is hella-ugly compared to south Jersey.
Well, I *was* going to enjoy some old Jane's Fleet Command, but my Taiwan Straight campaign mission keeps crashing on me. This after the previous one got into a situation where no planes would land. So, I guess I'm going to have to shelve it, regardless of how much I've enjoyed it. Then I loaded up Riven, and damned if it didn't decide to crash on me 10 minutes in also. I think it's a sign I need to play some modern stuff, so I think I'll play a little Hell, and some Flashpoint Campaigns: Red Storm, and maybe some CMANO.

Bah! I just lost my first COE4 campaign. I could have gone on but my head demonologist, who I'd sunk hundreds of sacrifice points into to upgrade just got wiped out. Of course, it was a horde of summoned monsters that he failed to control that took him out. Fitting. Mess with the infernal realms and eventually they take their prize. So I'll start a new campaign and hope I don't get the hobbits. :D
Bison I think I'm going to take a leaf out of your book and always select my class randomly. Sounds like a fun way to play, and that way I'll get to see classes I wouldn't normally pick. Goddamn Illwinter make some amazing games innit.
For me, it's been armada 2526 for the lat two weeks....
I've mostly been playing IL2 BOS. Campaign shortcomings aside, it is really a great flight simulator. Having lots of fun and the quest to unlock crap is definitely hooking me in.
WiTP:AE PBEM continues with Undercovergeek as he kicks my butt all over the world. I've been playing Sunless Sea during the downtime. This is one interesting and hard game. Very fun so far though.
All gaming will stop at Noon though as MICHIGAN takes on ohio state.

I have made some good progress in Assassin's Creed Syndicate despite the lack of above peace and quiet and a rough start where I was too tired to really get going with the game.
But now I've finished the first chapter. It's digging its manacles into me :)

Yes beholders are one of the mythic creatures you can summon as a druid. You need to level up to the 3rd tier magic level and research until you get a spell called something like call mythic beasts or some such thing. It's pretty expensive 600 herbs for the level cost plus 600 until you get the right spell and then 600 a summon until you get the beholder. You can also get gryphons, treants, wyverns, and a couple of other mythic beasts.

It's easy because other than assigning units to leaders, the only real control you have over the battle is you can select the spells that you leader units cast. So in that battle I had to assign spells for my two druids and my beholder. Everything is automated by the game. It's one of the beautiful features of illwinter games.

There's no unit micromanagement, you just move commanders and transfer units between them. A 100-unit army is as easy to manage as a lone scout.

My great COE4 victory has been followed up with 4 quick destructions of my empires. The starts really make a huge difference. Love it.
