It's been awhile since I had to buy memory.
Any recommendations on DDR3 240 pin memory upgrades?
I usually just order almost all my memory from Crucial.com and I've never had an issue with them. They have a system scanner that will tell you exactly what's compatible. They are not always the cheapest but the memory modules are good quality and I've found the price difference to be minor in most cases. Worth it for the POM.
Some older systems recommend either matched pairs or three of the same kind of DIMM installed.
Check motherboard specs to verify the maximum memory amount supported. Flash the motherboard with updated BIOS if necessary.
I got this a couple months ago and love it.

When I did buy it though it was about 20 dollars cheaper. Ive also used Corsair Vengeance in the past and they make some great RAM as well as being dependable.

You can get that from Crucial themselves for $99: http://www.crucial.com/usa/en/blt2kit8g3d1869dt1tx0
Surprisingly, it's going for $158 at Newegg.com http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=9SIA0AJ3N29035 ???
Crucial is good. I'm have Corsair Vengeance right now. Either way check out newegg they have a bunch of memory on sale and you can get 16 gb for around $90 easily.

Newegg at times really seem to be overpriced and gotten cheap especially of late. I paid around 80 for it on Amazon back in September.
Stagger's running the swanky stuff! :D

LOL- 'Swanky RAM'!
Thanks, guys. I went with crucial.com. I'll pick up 8gb now (which with what I have now will bump me from 3 to 10 gb) and max out the box at 16gb later.
I'd be somewhat cautious using different types of memory together. I don't know if it's as big of an issue these days, but back in the day it was never recommended to mix RAM.

Thanks, Bison. I'll keep that in mind.
