Title: Win10 set IE to 32-bit
Post by: bayonetbrant on December 12, 2015, 10:22:26 PM
My wife needs IE on her new WIn10 machine set to 32-bit mode to work with the VPN at the hospital.

I'm sure this is a relatively easy fix.  Can anyone walk me thru it?

Thanks!

As per this page (https://superuser.com/questions/997461/32bit-internet-explorer-on-windows-10-64bit), try creating a shortcut pointing to iexplore.exe in program files x86.  Apparently the process will show as 64-bit but the child processes hosting the actual tabs will be 32-bit.

Hard to find info on this.

I'm guessing that she already d/led and installed IE on the computer since Win10 actually uses a new browser (Edge (http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/microsoft-edge)) that replaces IE?
