That's great! A bed and mausoleum all in one! And if I had to listen to that annoying music all the time, I'd jump in.

Are you supposed to chew your way through the mattress to get at the survival gear underneath?

Bond would have a bed that fires him out the window before the building comes down.  :o

Bond would have finished doing the deed before both of them were jettisoned to safety.

LB,

I used to have that poster that you're using in your avatar when I was a kid.  My mom ended up throwing it out along with all my original kenner star wars action figures when I moved out.   :'(

Ouch.

I lost oa bunch of stuff when my parents' basement flooded a few years back.

That pic is actually of my very own poster. Found it a week ago in the basement. Can't believe it survived.

I lost all my old childhood Star Wars action figures & such when my house burned to the ground at around 9 or 10 yrs old.  Malfunctioning hot water heater.

At least they went out in a blaze of glory!   ^-^     :P

Was daytime.  We were at school/work.

Evidently the firefighters were quite worried about getting close, when all the ammo to dad's small arsenal started cooking off.  The old man reportedly arrived in time to run straight into the huge conflagration, trying to grab some guns & wotnot, but quickly retreated once he realized how dangerous his crazed rush inside a wildly burning house had been.

I can laugh about the whole thing now, since nobody was hurt.

Bond would have a bed that fires him out the window before the building comes down.  :o

that points out the weakness of the shown concept.
if the bed is not located in the cellar, the whole thing falls down one, two or even more stories when the building collapse.
(just imagine, lying in that box hanging at a crane in the according height and get dropped ... i see a new Mythbusters episode in the making;-))
so it need rocket boosters at all four bedposts and a flight stabilisation that keep the thing in postion while the building disintegrate around it and then gently set the box on top of the debris, or at least slowing down the fall when larger chunks of debris from above forcing it down

I haven't looked at the article yet, but I assume it must be some sort of bunk bed...I always have to duck under those.
