Title: What's Your State Googling For Valentine's Day?
Post by: LongBlade on February 12, 2016, 04:13:40 PM
So, what is your state googling more than anyone else for Valentine's Day?  (https://www.grogheads.com/forums/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fi1081.photobucket.com%2Falbums%2Fj349%2Flongblade%2FSmilies%2Fadultcontent.gif&hash=4c9e408f428b26ddcca65721104f843601ecfbb1)

Lord Byron poetry in Alabama is rather curious.

I blame Interstate 40 for the state of my state.

I'm starting to think we can learn something from that map.

Hallmark's HQ is in Kansas City, so Missouri's choice seems pretty clear.

New Hampshire is next to Vermont, and by now we've all heard of Vermont Teddy Bears. So I get that.

Delaware? Gift Cards? Really? "Hi, honey. Love you. Here's $25 for Applebee's. Knock yourself out!"

Strangely South Carolina and California seem like soul mates, both searching for matching outfits of some kind.

Flower delivery in Alaska seems pretty straight forward - it's damn cold up there and flowers would be nice to see.

The tandem bike in Iowa, however, has me scratching my head.

Boudoir Photos has stumped even Urban Dictionary. Amazing. I thought UD had polluted the entire English language. Apparently not. Congratulations, Oklahoma!

And the always appropriate Couples Tattoo in Kentucky tells us romance never left that state.

Anyone else learn anything?

That thing is bogus. No one in Maine has any idea that Robert Burns wrote poetry. Unless it's the Robert Burns who wrote all those clever limericks.

Well, the rest of the US isn't aware of it either, so it's probably those two USNH English Lit grad students googling it which skewed in the state's favor.

Smithers is the one who writes the poetry. Sad, unrequited poetry...
