I just rewatched Dark Knight this weekend and then saw this today

Cool stuff... thanks for the link.
Now I need to watch the movie again.
I decided it was time to let the kids watch the Nolan/Bale Batman films, so we recently saw Batman Begins and The Dark Knight. I'm holding off on Dark Knight Rises because I disliked it so much.
Anyway, it was cool to find that article after a fresh viewing of Dark Knight.
The Fox TV show Gotham had an interesting Joker-creation series of episodes relating to family dysfunction mixed in with circus showmanship and a genuinely creepy character, the pre-Joker youth. I'm not sure how authentic to the comics storyline it was but it was entertaining. And well acted.
There have been different takes on the Joker origin story over the years. The story Alan Moore created for The Killing Joke has been widely embraced.

wait.... what? say it aint so
Mirth's fury speaks the truth. DKRises was a terribly written film, and its acting left some problems, too. Some parts looked good, but... :'(
In its defense, it's a fascinating case (from a writer's perspective) of how a few initial choices of what the story should be about, snowballed into an ongoing avalanche of plot annoyances. It wasn't ineptitude, exactly, but a failure to foresee how those initial choices would act as constraints shaping the plot which would then be more disastrous constraints and so on and so forth.
But we've been over it before. ;) (http://grogheads.com/forums/index.php?topic=3904.msg87444#msg87444)
well that was shorter than i thought it was going to be :P
Even I got tired of complaining about it after 7400 words. :buck2:
