Does anyone remember an early competitor of Saturday Night Live named Friday? One of the cast was Cosmo Kramer from Seinfeld.
One show Shat was the guest host and they opened the show with him walking around a building, looking like a tourist. He suddenly pulled out a communicator and talked to Spock asking when the transporter would be fixed.
Then a bunch of fans ran up, "Bill, Bill, they're waiting for you." And take a confused Captain Kirk in to stand in for a missing William Shatner.
It was a great skit, poking fun at Trek and at himself. Once Friday went off the air, have never seen the clip again. It was very funny.
