Here at Slitherine we wish you all a very Happy Easter!

Be ready! In order to celebrate this Easter, we are giving everyone a coupon that gives 30% discount on any purchase from our stores!

Important!

Since we have just released Victory and Glory: Napoleon and Polaris Sector and we want to be fair to those who just bought them, the coupon is not valid for those two games.

WASTE NO TIME!

You can get the discount by entering the following coupon while checking out:

HappyEaster

The coupon is valid until the 28th of March, for one purchase only, so pick any game you like and enjoy!

Hmmm...  WITP:AE for only $56 versus $80?  Very tempting, but I just can't justify it right now, when I still have CW 2 to try to learn!

WITP AE was $40 (-50%) in the new year sales so maybe wait a few more months ...

It seems you can use the code more than once if this is correct :

You can use the coupon as often as you want for as many games as you want until it expires. Go wild!

Slitherine Easter Sale gives 30% off almost all titles
By Default Admin 24 Mar 2016 0

It's only a few days until Easter which means that your thoughts should turn to marshmallow Peeps and biting the heads off your chocolate bunnies. You should probably also turn your thoughts to wargaming, as Slitherine has announced their Easter Sale and it's a doozy. Basically, you get 30% off any game in their entire catalog, with only a few exceptions.

Because Polaris Sector and Victory and Glory: Napoleon were just released, it wouldn't be fair to those that just paid full price in the last week, so those two games are off the table. Everything else, however, is fair game.

To get the discount, go shopping over to Slitherine or Matrix and during checkout enter the code HAPPYEASTER and your discount will be subtracted. Pick wisely, however, as you can only apply the discount to one game.

I am finally getting to grips with War in The East so I jumped on the chance to pick up War in The West for $55

Now looking at the opening screens all the new airborne and amphibious rules the many detailed charts in the players handbook all I can think of My God What have I done!

I think I will close everything and play a couple of rounds of Darkest Dungeon to calm myself.  At least there I only have a couple of options!

Your right, the announcement I posted came from Matrix web site.  However, I think what is being stated in the forum post, is that if you make a purchase with 3 games, the discount only applies to one.  However, if you make 3 different purchase with one game each, you can use the coupon on each purchase.

What is the word on Star Hammer The Vanguard Prophecy?  I was really looking at this, however the new 40K may get the nod.  Also, do you get a Steam key as well?

It's decent.  I wish there were a little more direct control over the weapons systems but the movement system is well done.  I think the biggest drawback is the enemy.  To me, they just aren't very interesting and there's not much variety.  It's basically giant flying space bugs.

Well damn i have everything i want from Matrix. Looked but nothing i dont already have. Take a look at combat command, its under $14  has quite a few scenarios and is simple to get up and running and the AI is decent. It's a desert rats and danger forward compilation,  500 meter hexes, company sized units and phased game play with 2 hour day turns, 4 hour night turns. The graphics are pretty simple but you get scenarios in the west front, east front, Africa, Italy its worth a look at this price.

Picked up AGEOD's Thirty Years War which I've been waiting to see on sale.

Pike and Shot Campaigns got me interested in the time period, and so this should complement it nicely.

P&S Campaigns is very nice, plus the Roi Soleil expansion is FREE. There are also MANY user scenarios and campaigns including an Extra Nations campaign/skirmish mode that adds lots more army lists and artwork for them. O0

Following up on a rumor I entered the code HappyEaster on both Polaris Sector and Victory and Glory - and it worked both times If anyone has been holding off, this would be the time to grab one or the other, before someone at Matrix wakes up and fixes it.

If you want my 2 cents, V&G is by far the better of the two.

I saw this too and worked for me...I already own V&G so was considering Polaris ($25), but not sure I need another space game right now, especially with Stellaris out in another month

I think CMANO is one of the most impressive pieces of software I've ever seen.  I highly recommended, if you're into modern naval warfare, at full price.

It's more of a sandbox game, though, with all that entails.  Have appropriate expectations and you won't be disappointed.

I am so waiting to see if this brings out some trolling rants!  But I agree I love CMANO as well.  As wargamers we seem to have a trait that wants to love something so much that it needs to be compulsively destroyed

My resistance didn't last long, ended up buying Tigers on the Hunt and then downloaded the VASL graphics mod and The Guards Counterattack SL/ASL user made scenario (amongst others)  :smitten:

Even though it is 10+ years since I last pushed ASL counters round a map I found the whole game very intuitive after a brief skim of the manual.

Combat Command is truly a hidden gem. I bought it a few years ago. It is well worth the purchase even at full price, and the sale price makes the value even better. It is a true wargame, and even allows you to see each dice roll. The game boasts 42 scenarios which will keep you busy for quite awhile.

It's the first game I've used the Steam refund system for.  Bought it at half price in the last sale, looked at it, looked at some tutorial vids, and thought, "Err...no".  Totally "It's not you, it's me" type of break up, so I'm not trolling.

Thinking about War Plan Orange or Tigers on the Hunt. Even at 30% off TotH may still be too rich for my blood given the lack of MP and a few other issues, but I am intrigued at all of the mods that are coming out.

Definitely install the 1.04 patch, it cleans up the maps. I couldn't get it to do it via the updater, I had to download and patch manually.

Almost has a GDW feel to the system, and with the patch, almost a GDW look to the maps. I think I may have finally found the computer game that will let me recreate the engagements in http://www.allworldwars.com/Small-Unit-Actions-During-German-Campaign-in-Russia.html.

I really wanted to try and find something to buy from this sale, but just couldn't find anything I wanted besides what I already owned.....

As much as I want DC: Barbarossa, I just can't justify it at this time. I guess I can't really complain about having resolve from a pretty good sale...but soon...you will be mine!!!

<queue evil laugh>

It's true, we are. I blame budd. And Bob, even though he had nothing to do with it.
