Anyone have any ideas on a good, solitaire Modern fleet game? I'd prefer something "along the lines of" Fleet Commander Nimitz...not just a card "top trumps" like game.
Thanks
'Breaking the chains (https://boardgamegeek.com/boardgame/137498/breaking-chains-war-south-china-sea)' has a note in it's BGG page about being 'solitaire friendly'. The same has been noted about the 'Fleet (https://boardgamegeek.com/boardgamefamily/106/fleet-series)' games. I have 2nd Fleet (bought from B_C a while ago, thanks :) ) but have not yet gotten around to trying it out.
Thanks SW
Where there is Discord: War in the South Atlantic is supposed to be great and is designed as a solitaire game.

^That looks really nice.
It does. I'd definitely pick up a copy if I were more into solitaire board games.
There is a solitaire modern naval game, forgetting the name, but it's by Miranda and simulates a carrier strike group working its way towards northern Norway.
You're best off with CMANO if you want to do solo modern naval warfare, IMHO.

+1
here is a nice let's play series i had followed to the end
it's a great game
it's a very hard-to-find game, which means
it's a bloody f'n' expensive game
^ exactly. I've been looking on and off for that for over a year and everytime I find it (and it has been available second hand), it's £80-£100.
It does look a great game though and as an absolute nut on The Falklands Conflict, I will eventually get one.
