Does anyone have a contact with Erik from Matrix/Slitherine? Could you pass this on:
I found a way how to (EDITED) and it's pretty serious. Messaged Erik via the site and sent support request several days back but not heard anything official back yet.
Can't you just PM him on their forums?

Yeah...I wouldn't advertise this publicly.
Erik's working on it

Good. Yes, I PM'ed him but his inbox was full. It would be nice to get an acknowledgement at some point, but it's good to know it's being dealt with.
I only discovered this issue by accident, so I doubt anyone else could easily find it under normal circumstances. However, it's potentially very nasty.

I have a non-forum contact for him, but Brant says the matter is already in hand, so you can take that as read.
From experience, a full inbox will mean that he will not have seen your pm, so by default he will have been unaware of your pm. It is hard to acknowledge something you haven't received. I've known Erik for years and he's a nice guy. I doubt very much that Erik would ignore you unless you had given him good reason to.
As the matter you are referring to is clearly very sensitive, why not pm Brant in a few days to ask for an update? That way if the inbox is still full you are using a contact you can trust and who will keep matters confidential.

Despite not receiving an official reply, the replies here have assured me the matter has been dealt so I don't think I need to chase it further, although I hope I hear from them, out of courtesy.
I have direct email contact with JD McNeil, CEO of Slitherine.
Let me know if you want another update (PM).
^name dropper ;) (...and again congrats on your game!)

Just trying to help.
I got a 'thank you for reporting this' from someone on support. Doing a Good Deed is indeed it's own reward, but they're a business so I replied that since I'd found a serious vulnerability and potentially saved them a lot of money could I have a gratis copy of Decisive Campaigns: Barbarossa?
Well, I had to, didn't I?
I believe you mentioned it was a flaw on a certain online game shop/worldd.
If that was indeed the case, it would have gone pretty hard on anyone who used the flaw.
In the past when games have been available for $ .01 and other things. The people who used the flaw were banned and all their games went poof.

The flaw was far more serious than that and undetectable.
Just curious....was Matrix deeply hurt, or hurt at all, by this flaw?
If that was the case, than yes, you deserve a game or at least something.

Not that I'm aware of. Without revealing any details, the game could be very easily distributed if the 'wrong sort of people' exploited it. Actually, not just this game - maybe all of them.

I don't think I deserve anything - that's up to whoever to decide. However, I did ask support about a gratis game bearing in mind I'd potentially saved them a lot of money, and I'm not so naive these days. I'm between jobs (freelance) and I'd like a certain game which I can't pay for right now. (Edit: my Fiancée just said 'they should give you their entire catalogue' -LOL)
I originally bought a game, then got stung by an unexpected (huge) bill I'd not budgeted for, so I had to get a refund. A chain of events then led me to find the issue by sheer coincidence, so it's lucky for them I got the refund. Ironic.
Myself being an industry pro, I was at least expecting some communication from on high though but never mind. Appreciation is more important to me than a few bucks and it's been a lousy few months.
Signing off and Moving on...
