Kurt Sutter has chosen a writer for the Sons of Anarchy spin-off, Mayans MC. The man, Elgin James, has street cred.

We already know I'll watch it. Despite occasional plot holes you could drive an MC through, Sons always delivered. It will be interesting to see what time frame they decide to use; early days, pre-Jax, post-Jax, etc.... Like "Better Call Saul", I can see some cameos happening if circumstances are right.
I'll watch. SoA is greatly missed.
I think it would be refreshing if the Mayans chapter was set somewhere other than Cali, say Las Vegas or better yet, Texas. After all, Texas does have a rather infamous 1%er MC of Hispanic origins, so it's not far-fetched.
