Title: Forge On Fire
Post by: mirth on May 17, 2016, 11:59:58 AM
This is a game I played in at the Huzzah! convention this past weekend. The terrain is almost entirely scratch built by my friends Tony and Dave. Tony is an absolute master modeller.

The game with the Battleground WWII rules set, using 28mm models and terrain.

This is the scenario synopsis:

Quote1st of November, 1942, Krasny Oktyabr 'Red October' Factory, Stalingrad, USSR:

German General Von Seydlitz orders the 24th Panzer-Division 'The Leaping Horseman' to relieve the forces of the 79th Infanterie-Division in the southern part of the dreaded steel factory Red October and rid it of any remaining resistance. This job fell upon the shoulders of the 21st and 26th Panzer-Grenadiers, their Pioneer regiments, and the 4th Kradschutzen-Abtteilung. After prolonged shelling early in the morning, the elements of the 24th Pz-Dv crawled toward the defensive positions the Soviets dug in the work halls of the Martin furnace forges weeks before the assault. The mission: Take the halls and advance the line before the Soviets could return and repulse the Germans once more.

This photo gallery is from another player. I have some pics of my own I'll share when I get them uploaded.
