Updated to add: crash happened about halfway between Turkey and Egypt (on flight from Paris).

Weather was fine at 37K feet, pilot experienced, in good spirits while passing through Greek territory. Later unresponsive to (standard?) hails; 12 minutes after hail fail, plane swerves several times, drops to 10K, disappears from radar.

Beacon apparently in the water; first ship to the site reports no debris (yet).
