Hmm, if those are actual game graphics I'm not sure I like what I'm seeing...

More "minimalist" images on the Product Page. Fortunately, the overall look doesn't appear to be quite as stark as that portrayed in the vid.

Is this what has been rescued from the Shenandoah Studios Kickstarter? Or is it a totally new IP?

A game for me.... :)

Looks good to me. It's hexes and chits so it is oh going to look so good. I am interested in the system of movement. I hope it is based on terrain, situation and the commander as opposed to a die roll (in reference to when units move)

Good question. The map looks very familiar.

I think this may be a game that was knocking around a few years back ?  Funny their site says it is hex based ... that game wasn't and this doesn't look like it is from the trailer.

I am pretty certain this has its genesis in a real time game on Gettysburg ... cant remember name or site now though but still have the files somewhere - he was charging a lot for what it was back then.

Corse - could be wrong ....

According to this post it IS the Shenandoah Studios effort... hmmmm. I backed that on Kickstarter. Haven't heard a thing about it since.

Because it does look like a bloody awful mobile port.

For god's sake, Gameleaper, make a damn hex and counter Gettysburg game and save us from this travesty!

This actually looks like a Ultimate General Gettysburg and AGEOD crossover. Lack of hexes and seemingly fluid movement (Im guessing I cant tell) along with the activation rules

Just clarify in the event of any confusion...

Shenandoah Studios was taken over by Slitherine in 2015 http://www.develop-online.net/interview/shenandoah-s-rearmament-how-slitherine-saved-the-strategy-studio/0211304  http://www.mcvuk.com/press-releases/read/a-new-era-for-shenandoah-studio/0154932 and AFAIK is still headed by Ionut Georgescu, owner of 88mm Games https://www.facebook.com/88mmGames, who produced games like Frontline - Road to Moscow. http://grogheads.com/?p=4526#more-4526

It's main focus is mobile games, but has more recently ported over games like the Battle of the Bulge to the PC. http://grogheads.com/?p=9410#more-9410

I would not surprise me if there is a lot of similarity in approach to Gettysburg, based on what has already been done by the two studios.

Because it probably is.

See my above post, as the studio's focus at least historically is producing mobile games, which have ported to the PC as with Battle of the Bulge.

Basically. It was taken over by Slitherine back in 2015.

With so many beautiful, wonderful, detailed boardgames covering Gettysburg, why do you guys insist on playing with those little video toys of the battle?!?!?!   :idiot2: You want Gettysburg?  Here's how to play Gettysburg!!!

Have you tried John Tiller's Civil War campaigns? Lots of electronic chit kicking, with lots of nerdy friends to play with at Grogheads. Problem solved for ya! ;)

I took it down for the pictures....didn't want you all to think that I was some sort of dork or something.  Seriously though, I do want to mount a piece of sheet metal on the underside that I can then use magnets to hold up the charts and notes (and a piece of grog-porn or two).

How do you toggle on the health bars?

Health bars are replenished every time you sip your adult beverage.  The more sipping, the more your healthbar increases.
