My system is now complete....
i7-6700K @ 4.6~4.8 OC
32 4x8gb DDR4 @ 3200MHz

Sweet! It's so powerful it's shaking my monitor!!! O0
Wow. How much did that gtx set you back? What kind of power supply tames that thing?
Damn...jealous!
But now you have a "can I run this?" Rig. Now you get to go on forums and brag about your supercharged inter-cooled 6 valve graphics card and hyperclocked Alienware 200gh quad core processor with gold trim by announcing "can I run this game? I have a........
Sorry PE. Your new computer is drawing all the power out of mine. It also won't let me crank-up the car. Or the lawn mower.
^Now the Eastern Seaboard just went dark...
But does it go to 11?
I'll sum up "F**k that's nice" you throw an SSD in there?
Nice rig...I'm probably going to build something similar but steps down (I5 instead of I7, 1070 instead of 1080) as I really do not have need for top top of the line and I think the I5-6600k and 1070 is more than enough for me for the next 6 yrs or so.

Wow, did you do a DIY water cooled system ? Looks great.
Shit. I think that fan on that thing actually helped pull the UK out of the EU!!!
Sweet kit O0
Sorted for a couple of years me thinks.

Thanks all..... first time I have really gone all out.... upgrading from a 660 was a shock.
Yep, main OS running on SSD with a hybrid drives for the rest.
@Jarhead0331
The 1080 Retail is $699.... but I had some gift cards that reduced the cost. I am running a Corsair RM Series RM850 (850W) Gold.

I'll give you some advice if you give me your 980ti ;D
Two most important parts of any build?
First, a NASA coffee mug

Damn that case is big. At least you can get your hands inside to fiddle with the components. I went with the Corsair Graphite 380T since I'm always moving my game rig from one room to another:

That's a neat, compact case for sure. :)
I decided on the 300r for the exact reason I wanted a big, airy box that is easy to access. I don't need to move it around much, either.
Here's a better pic of 300r, from Corsair website

Damn PE. That's a good price for all that hardware. You should be running the Government. And with that computer.......

Me too. I bought an Alienware Alpha a while back for $499 that runs anything I throw at it. Of course, it's mostly turn-based stuff or Paradox titles. I think 7 Days might be the most graphic intensive thing I run. That said, I can't stop ogling at your computer pics. ^-^
This thread should be renamed.

I need one like that to replace my case. It looks nice and roomy. Was it very expensive?
I call my rig the Monolith...it is based on this case
EDIT - sorry for the thread highjack / bastardization
I will probably run this case until it falls apart somehow...but I don't see it happening...I love it.
Note the MB tray is rotated 90* so all the PCIE cards and MB headers are top facing instead of rear facing. And the VC has been updated...but besides that, some extra RAM and a SSD it's stock from 2010 when I built it...Hence time to rebuild.

So does the the Vid cable stick straight up? ???
There's some room with the metal top grille but yea if you are using an old VGA cord with a dvi adapter it's tight. Never had any issues myself though.
All the hot air of the system vents up and out.

No, not at all. It is a very get-down-to-business box, matt black coating, robust, just what I thought a good wargaming rig needs.
Corsair site lists only a windowed version now, after a quick look, at 149.99, but the windowless version I bought was more like 89.99 as I recall.
Indeed, as Newegg lists the basic version (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811139011), at 69.99.
Edit: I believe the case shipped without the front panel connector set at the time, so needed to contact Corsair and they sent me one without a cost. Do check it's now included if you go ahead with this one. Otherwise. most happy with the case.
