Starships & Spacemen and Starships & Spacemen 2e
these games are early star trek RPGs and are cheap and self contained RPGs.

its a free Space RPG, what I like is the A.I. Robot system( upgrade programs, buy skill upgrades , its great stuff), I was thinking you could play solo with A.I. Robots but remove the prime directive for your first two robots.
Last one that tickled my "oooohh - buy me now sight-unseen," bone was Shadows of the Demon Lord by Schwalb Entertainment.
The combined dark imagery (courtesy of one of the illustrators from WHFRP 2nd edition, which I love), the dark tone (similar to WHFRP, which I am fond of), and the seeming lack of something out there that wasn't the current iteration of WHFRP from FFG - all that fiddly looking dice shit and crap and no, I don't care how it plays either, nyah :P - sold me muy pronto.
Also, the 6th Gun stuff for Savage Worlds was a must-buy as I'm fond of Westerns; the illustrations were very nice and I really like the fact that it is nearer our timeline in terms of the overall feel, so not as much of that crazy Weird West stuff per se (but I do like that too, mind you) but enough to make it like "High Plains Drifter," to me.
the Justifiers series is pretty cool, but I can't, ahem.... "justify" spending $10/pdf on it. No idea why they wouldn't price it more reasonably

Shadows Of The Demon Lord is nice. I got the hardback, which isn't terribly expensive for a hardback, too. It's a pretty simple system but has character advancements similar to early WFRP. Which means characters are far more flexible than the stuff you get in D&D-type games, which is important to me.
Speaking of old WFRP, there is currently one that emulates 1st/2nd Edition on Kickstarter. Will make separate post.
As for
6th Gun, I wondered why they bothered creating it for Savage Worlds when they already have
Deadlands Reloaded for it, and plenty extra fluff add-ons. Pretty much the same kind of setting. I just figured people might meld the content together...?

I won't swear to it, but I think I've got a copy of the main rulebook somewhere - I'm in no mood to keep it, so its yours if you'd like IF I indeed do have it.
Its either that, or a copy of some other Gideon game I've got where aliens invade earth, I forget.
I used to have it and swapped it out with Nick Parenti years ago for something else. It's not that I particularly want it back, but I thought others might like to check out the game.

They do have a booklet that is supposed to help merge one into the other, I think, if the GM is so inclined. That reminds me; need to pick that up [scribbles on post-it].
My guess is they went with 6th gun as its not the super-gonzo-weird-west but something a wee bit more subtle in a way.

Good to know. I'm not familiar with the 6th gun comic. The background setting is probably less far-out than the post-ACW Cold War between North & South, at the least.

Yup. You still got voodoo, spirits, zombies, etc. but its toned down (to an extent) and applied to our actual timeline = something that possible gamers can wrap their heads around a smidge bit easier.
Re: Justifiers for Bayonet
Sorry, but I couldn't find the book. Not to say that it isn't still in my possession, but danged if it was in the easy-to-look-through boxes. Did find the "Invasion," themed one for what it was worth.

I don't know if its on sale , but its normaly $14.95 but now its $4.49
Its Clint Eastwood in the spaghetti Westerns RPG , what more could you want
Tempting. I've look at several western RPGs but I think it would be hard to run one.

A mundane Western would get too repetitive, too quickly, for me to attempt.
If we aren't spraying demons shooting out of toilets with automatic/friggin' laser fire, or frying changeling milkmen with lightning from your hands, then it's of limited use. :))
Ive just skimmed it, all the NPCs are Done for you , I found this great for solo games,I know lots of RPGs have monster stats - but this one is good, you have classes of gunfighters too all setup as default ready for the player to finishup, there is a multipart adventure included, its the full western experience. and the Luck dice is a great mechanic.
I think I saw a preview of the rules here it is http://www.drivethrurpg.com/product/79266/Wild-West-Cinema--Preview?term=Wild+West+Cinema&test_epoch=0
I really like the rules, about 110 pages
Something along the lines of Wild, Wild West might work. The original, of course, not that Will Smith reboot thing.
the magnificent four maybe :))
Or Kung Fu with David Carradine. Damn that was a good show.
there one in space firefly . a star-trek western with yule brimmer as captain picard :))
yes is was on sale, that's a bargain at $4.50
So are we all following some unconscious groupmind? I've gotten a hankerin' fer something "western," as well (not Deadlands), so I've managed to track down some Boot Hill stuff (3rd edition) and am looking that over.
Lol! ;D
Sounds like a more serious ruleset. I just looked on DriveThru, and boothill isn't there but a really cheap toomstone is, I was not going to buy boothill but maybe :))
Yeah...Boot Hill isn't readily available which is a pity. From what I've seen so far, 3rd ed. tries to flush a character out to be something more than just "gun," stats - they've got skills and whatnot. Still is a butt-ton of stuff regarding shooting style combat (it was from the 80s/90s TSR after all). Interesting things I've seen: 1. a chapter just about horses and 2. a chapter talking about involving things like vampires, and the supernatural.
There are a few omissions (i.e. no animal stats), but overall, I think this is an okay, simple framework of rules to build off of.
Go Fer Yer Gun! (https://rpggeek.com/rpgitemversion/190965/pdf-version) (yes, it is really called that) was free on DriveThruRPG a while back and I grabbed it. It looks like it's been removed now.
[edit]Ah, here's why. It's now on sale for $12 as a soft cover book (http://www.lulu.com/spotlight/simonwashbourne?searchTerms=&pageOffset=2).[/edit/
Spirit of 77 looked so much fun, it followed me home today! CAN YOU DIG IT?!?

Saw this in the review section, for the preview copy:

For a preview, this doesn't really give you much...unless you happen to recognize the game system it closely resembles - FENG SHUI! ...and that is not a bad thing.
The system must be light but heavy narrative craziness, then.
;)

The Warriors must be coming to play.
Won't lie: cued that up on Netflix two nights ago to watch and to introduce the boy to some more "classics."
There is just so much to mine from w/regards to that era.

these a wonderouse for $3 , you get hand drawn stuff, its what makes it special real people doing real games, there tons of ideas easily digestable in one page, you wont believe how good these are.
I'm going to grab extra compediums if they have more with every purchase I make, plaus your supporting the project when you buy, and buy isn't really buying for $3 is dirt cheap. its just so personal seeing these maps and writing on one page each
There is an archive of all entries (https://www.onepagedungeon.info/2016/) at One Page Dungeon that you can download!

I saw that but when I clicked it my browser only showed a few, laggy I think. But it worked this time there all there thanks .
Today only, Old School Computer Game from Outlander78 is discounted 40% from its normal price of $3.00 to $1.80 at DriveThruRPG.com.
I bought it as it was so cheap, if you like hard core RPG its fun, I like it, its bad graphics, simple artwork, you don't use a mouse, its not a great game, you have to be into RPGs to even give it hard drive space, but if you play in your head like tabletop you just may like it. I only think I would buy it as its on sale, its bad but RPG good.
http://www.drivethrurpg.com/product/192359/Six-Gun-Sound
saw this its solo, two hour rpg, with the storyteller rule system you get in the world of darkness, so its easy to do, you can do everything in a western you want, seems short, but I will be reading it today so I'm OK.
