Look like pretty average 20-something women. Dumbasses, too.

It's pretty easy to smuggle stuff onto cruise ships. The issue is, they do random checks of luggage. They can't check every single piece of luggage as it would take way too much time, so this is a compromise. Maybe Heckle and Jeckle here thought that or were oblivious, but regardless, hahahahahahaha. I don't know the Aussie penal system at all so I wonder if they'll get the book thrown at them to be made an example of, or if they'll get off because they're young, Anglo, and will probably promise to never ever do it again, like, literally because they can't even.

Don't ask that in Quebec. Seriously, they will cut you.

We have been on 12+ cruises.  On almost all of them where your luggage is put in big steel loading containers to get put onboard or offloaded when you get to your final port there is a dog that has walked around all of the luggage.  Drug dogs are really fast and accurate workers.  Going through an entire cruise ship worth of luggage is really fast.

What if you wrap your drugs up really tight in plastic and then spray the outside with the same antiseptics that veterinarians use, especially the ones who specialize in 'the alteration'? Will the drug-sniffing dogs linger or quickly move on down the row of luggage?

It's Quebecois (pronounced Quebek-wah), not Quebec'er.  ;)

In 1980, when I was 12, we went to Toronto to spend a weekend in a 3 star hotel downtown. I watched the movie Arthur in the room. That "Moon in New York City" song always makes me think of Toronto.  :D
After watching the movie, I went to the pool room where a Quebecois family was sitting in the hot tub. The attractive wife was wearing a knitted yarn bikini and my 12 year old self couldn't help continual surreptitious glances.  :o

OK, here is something I've been wondering about- taking Canadians' understanding of 'Merican regional differences as a given... what part of the USA would you Northern Brothers think most approximates the Quebecois in the eyes of the rest of the States?

Cajuns are America's Quebec'ers. They don't shave either.  ;D

I don't know.... what part of the States wants the government to spend all their money there but wants to separate and keep it all and still use the currency and the military?  :P

I think the equivalent in Germany is Bavarians... but that's just a guess...  ;)

I think you'd find a lot of Texans taking umbrage with that...though the real truth is there are very few native Texans anymore (me included, actually, even if I've been here since 1978 or so).

Vermont.
Uber powerful government that spends like mad.  Broken State for starting a business.  Armed to the teeth (you can carry in the State Capital).  Feels superior to every other State because their system is "so great" even though nobody wants to live there because of the people already there, the restrictive laws and high taxes.  And ...... Without Maple Syrup the economy would fail completely.

Well... I guess that's doubly true since many of their French-speaking ancestors moved there after being driven out of Quebec by the British military long ago. :knuppel2:

Then they got sold to the US.   ;D

^ And I have NO doubt that there are parts of Louisiana that are unaware of that change of status.

If you've seen the historical documentary film Southern Comfort, the last time the US military attempted to occupy their rich croc-breeding and meth-making grounds, their guerrilla war of cousin-lovin' offspring were more than a match for our National Guard professionals. Even Powers Boothe couldn't stand up to their toothless admiration of the weekend warrior's 'purty mouths.'

;D

I learned a long time ago the hard way not to confuse Cajun with Creole. Hell, it's all French to me.

Replace "Maple Syrup" with "Something Else" and you'd be describing California.
