Great photos, very good.
To get three dimensional images, most photo recon planes had two cameras taking simultaneous images.
Then viewed through a stereoscopic viewer, an interpreter would have 3D.  This allowed greater details, by emphasizing the contrast.  Wonder if these photos were originally a pair, for the viewers.

the Bayeux photo is like looking at a model.  very cool!
