The weekend couldn't get here fast enough!! Going to be a difficult one for me game wise, but, the highlight will be a return to D&D on Saturday night. My friend's wife had their baby and he's ready to get back into the world and slay some monsters. Woohoo!!

My weekends usually consist of thanking the fk that it's a weekend and then getting dragged here there and everywhere to shit I don't care about whilst pretending I do then slumping in front of the pc for some escapism
Thankfully this weekend I'm flying solo - there will be some elite, some world of tanks, some wargame air land battle, some halcyon 6 and some hooking up with asid for my first dabble in steel beasts

Well, I've gotten back into some DC: Warsaw to Paris. It really is a great game. Currently playing as the Germans and it's May 15. Dutch have surrendered and currently plowing through Belgium.
Have set the AI to very slow turns to give it a chance. It's doing well but its turn take about an hour to complete.
Some more VASSAL work.
And some OST on the table.
..at least you can clip some counters while you're waiting......

Table top miniatures gaming tonight and tomorrow. Otherwise, Witcher 3 when I have a chance.
I have a couple of pbem games of Blood Bowl going and otherwise I'm conflicted on what to play next. Deciding between something ETO (The Supreme Commander, Prados' Third Reich, vanilla Third Reich or maybe even Hitler's War) or playing a modern day skirmish with mini's (recently acquired "Skirmish Sangin"). I also have D-Day at Tarawa that I need to start learning. I also have an on-going pbem of "Thunder at the Crossroads" going. The fiance/ex-fiance/gf/lover/girl that lives here hinted at possibly being good to play some Up Front so that would be a treat. No, no ASL this weekend.
The Supreme Commander is a great game. Lots of fun with several players.

That might be the choice. A solo game to get the mechanics down before I introduce it to the group.
Spend some more time with Stars in Shadow. Initial impressions are- I've been here before. Still, it's early and I do find it interesting so far. My fear (as always) is with diplomacy. Time will tell.
Might also play some more Civ4 Colonization with the Religion and Revolution mod.
I'm hoping to get some time to read rules and punch counters for US Civil War. I'm also hoping to have time to sort cards to continue building my angels themed mtg commander deck.

Barth, I love me some DC: WtP to play. I remember also trying to give the AI some Slow-Turn help and just waiting and waiting..... I thought the AI did just great at a quicker setting. It kicked my butt regularly. Anyway, what time I have this weekend will be aimed at something quick like PoE: The White March or maybe some Alea Jacta Est.

World of... candybars keeps my undivided attention; at least for the month I've bought premium time for which is about how long I can stand to pay undivided attention to specific games in general.

Nothing but Naval Action. Finally got into a Renomme "corvette/light frigate"; although I cannot fully crew her. She requires 190 and I have 150 so I have to do a lot of micro in battles switching crew around. I built in a few trim/cannon upgrades that allow a 6% reduction in crew needed to man both sails and guns so that helps.
Just such a beautiful and fast ship I couldn't help it.
Elite Dangerous is going to get most of my attention this weekend. On my first account, I'm one jump away from entering the Witch Head nebula. Going top spend sometime exploring it but I'm not planning on exploring every system inside of it. Once completed I plan to continue onto Bernards Loop.
I have my second account but haven't gotten around to selecting a name for him yet. Going to do that tonight. Been a long time since I've started over or ran missions of any type looking forward to seeing whats changed.
World of Warcraft and CMANO will probably get sometime as well.
Weekend plans include:
1) finish building tool shed in my back yard.
2) checking to see if there are any hardcore KOTH servers up and running yet for Arma 3
3) playing a couple of dynamic recon missions in ARMA 3
4) downloading some scenarios for SteelBeasts
5) maybe playing one or two final games of World of Warships before I delete it from my hard-drive
Did a truncated hike this morning. Looking at some townhouses tomorrow. Mansions of Madness with some friends this afternoon. Possibly some Armada on Sunday. Dying a lot in Star Wars Battlefront. Continuing to learn to bow in Witcher 3. Trying to convince the hot new Chinese lab girl to come out for sexy time.

30 days is the most efficient way to go. Only costs a little more than something like Netflix. Affordable entertainment - if you can stay immersed in it regularly.
Problem happens when I get too bored of the repetition and move on to other things. Almost always happens shortly after I sub for another whole month, wasting most of the time. ;D

As far as gameplay..will defiantly be visiting 7 days to Die just not sure whether i'll opt in to the alpha 15 experimental build and explore single player or play in the grogheads server, might do both,just roll back the update. Got back into CO2 so will probably play a scenario of that and mix in some old school DOOM with the brutality mod.

The latest Silent Disapproval Robot update disturbs me greatly.
Last night I played the hell out of Scourge of War: Gettysburg. After some tinkering I got a sandbox Army v. Army scenario going on the large Gettysburg full map. I jumped in with both feet as Meade, using couriers only, single objective, and the objective had to be held for 90 minutes to get a win. I played about 2 hours of real time, and the battle was pretty much approaching climax when I just couldn't stay awake anymore and had to call it a night. While I was winning quite handily with over 3000 points, looking around the battlefield when I quit I'm pretty sure I didn't have the schlitz to retake the objective from the Confederates. The AI had put up a really nice defense and I don't think I had the manpower to push them off. What a fantastic battle, though. I saved it to finish tonight, but you know how you kind of lose the drama when you take a break.
Matrix was nice enough to send my an 18% off coupon for 5 loyal years with them, so I just spent that on Scourge of War: Waterloo and Quatre Bras. I've been slowly studying Napoleonic warfare, an era I am completely unfamiliar with, and after watching some videos, plus how much I love SoW:G, I decided it was time to join the bandwagon. I redeemed my steam keys and it's installing now!
I also played some multiplayer Mount and Blade: Napoleon, but just couldn't get into it and quit after a couple of rounds. I think that might be more of a drinking game.
This weekend is a little bit of Elite: Dangerous, a bit more of my XCom 2 Commander Ironman campaign.
Will be space trucking in Elite Dangerous, some F1 2016 and some Battlefleet Gothic Armada.

LOL. Funny you say that. It's exactly how I've played it, many times in the past. Quite fun and you can still one-fist it more often compared to other multi-player games, freeing the other paw for lifting 12oz weights.
It can still be quite amusing sober, if there are a lot of people on the server. I always get some great gut laughs at seeing all the ways people die.
Yeah, having a full server is definitely key. I switch between the miniseige and role play servers. I prefer the miniseige, but it has to be full to really be the most fun. I think it was 79/130 when I logged on, and while that sounds like a lot of people, another 40-50 people would have made it more fun. I was just sucking. If I really play hard I can maintain about a 1:1 k/d ratio, but last night I was 1:16...just couldn't get a rhythm going.
Fun game. It just lends itself to not being taken seriously, which is a nice change of pace. The music is fantastic.

I really enjoy SOW:G and the other battles. I have SOW:WLoo but haven't gotten into it much. The battle of Quatra Bras interests me more at this point. How'd you get the 18% discount coupon, by being a subscriber to the mailing list?

To each their own but I enjoyed the Waterloo and QUatre B games much better. Especially with the "toolbar mod" or better, the "flags and bugles mod" which includes it. Without those, the command system is a bit weird and limited. You can order a division into column or attack but that's it. With the mod, you can select a regiment and have it move into columns. Just allows more control. You WONT REGRET IT

It gets fun at around 80+ on the siege server. The deaths tend to increase in frequency, though.
As for the music in M&B: Napoleonic, I have some great memories of those old classics playing in the background, while people are being shot & bayoneted next to me. ;D

Ode To Joy is blaring in the background. O0 Still makes me laugh, thinking about it. :))

Oh yeah. Whole album is great. I put it up there in my collection between Kinks Lola vs. the Powerman and the Money-go-round Part One (Whew. What a title)and Moxy I. Whole album is awesome on those two too. Are you familiar with that Kinks album? The bigger hits were Lola of course and Apeman but the whole thing was a concept album about the music industry and the shady side of it.

Just spent the last few hours with Alea Jacta Est. Finally just decided to start pressing buttons and using the half remembered attempts I took at To End All Wars and Civil War. And it clicked. I get it now. Now we'll see how long it holds my attention ;)
