Give the song a while - it's not what you think
The historic fair has come to town and I'll be mobbed by gypsies and small children being sick
When I can I will be playing endless legend, endless space 2 and wargame Airland battle
Have an awesome weekend all
Aye - not bad at all.
F1 2016, Mafia I and Mafia II and - wait for it - DCS ;D
Another beta weekend with Stars in Shadow, and, if the new build makes it out today, Afghanistan '11. Also some 1775:Rebellion. I've also been on the verge of pressing the button to get Knights of Honor again, but on Steam.
But mostly it will be Fighting the urge to pre-order Civ VI :)
Ugh. Working out of town this weekend and the Mrs. is tagging along, so I can kiss any gaming goodbye.
On the other hand, my World of Tanks career continues apace: my average win rate creeps ever so closer to 51% and after starting the personal missions, I've managed to cruise through 7 out of the 15 Medium tank specific ones without breaking a sweat (mediums are my thing, apparently) which is nice as I'm going to have to re-buy the Stuart so I can get to the damn Chaffee, buy the T20, and finish wringing out the tank just prior to the Panther - daddy needs credits, badly.
Been playing a lot of War Thunder now that the Halifax is out.
Supposed to play Mansions of Madness on Saturday and possibly Labyrinth on Sunday.
PBEM continues with Barth in our game of Plan Orange.
Pancreas surgery on Monday. Wheee!!!!!
endless legend here i think

Oh that's gotta suck! :o
Hope it all goes well or I'll have to find another PBEM partner.
This weekend won't see much gaming as we and another couple are going to Prince Edward County wine country for the weekend. Lotsa wine, food and good company.
Might try to get our wives to play Cards Against Humanity...

It's fun drunken toilet humour... how could that possibly get you fired? ;)
Still slogging through Boston looking for my kidnapped son in Fallout 4. Also more HoI4 and WitP:AE.
Endless Legend with all the DLC. :smitten:
Warhammer TW and possibly some MWO.
Rise of Flight.
Joined up with TGCtours and I'm doing the Q-school rounds for The Golf Club.
Farming Simulator 2015.
I'll be busy selling SDR's pancreas on E-Bay. ;D Just kidding Man. Hope everything goes well for you. After a week of DC: Case Blue's Op. Uranus as the Russians, I'm needing a Brain-Break. So it's my old stand-by Pillars of Eternity: The White March where I've just found the key to entering....(dramatic pause)... Durgan's Battery.
Elite Dangerous, Wargame: Red Dragon, and definitely a lot of VR titles. I'm still having the most amazing gaming experiences of my lifetime in VR. Just play a round of Onward...it will make you a believer.

+1 I hope everything comes out all right. Get well soon.
Prayers for everyone to have strength, skill, and patience in SDR's surgery.
This weekend: puppy-sitting for Bro's family. The creature is made of bricks and loves to systematically shred all things including humans. Not in a hateful way, but still. Electronic shriek buttons? She shows slight curiosity sometimes. Hiss-cans? Upgraded to slight interest sometimes. Toothy choke collars? An inconvenience to be waved off. {shudder} Dogs.
Also this weekend: THE PROMISED TIME HAS COME (maybe, travel weather permitting)! 2 hours south, Shin Godzilla in a theater :smitten: , 2 hours back.
Not sure what gaming yet. Almost certainly more Magic Duels having not gotten tired of deckbuilding/testing yet. Riding along with my French Marshals against other Groggies in Cyrano's forum game -- mainly my work is done, and it's all about the newspapers henceforth. :)) Been playing Arkham Origins again, on the PC for the first time, as an excuse not to play Alien: Isolation for Halloween. Want to get into Wargame: Airland Battle, maybe also Red Dragon.

^ What JudgeDredd said. Hope everything turns out okay, SDR.
I have a three-day weekend starting after I work tonight, so I'll actually have time to play some games for once! 8) For my space 4x needs, I've been playing a fair bit of Stardrive 2 (with the Sector Zero DLC) lately; however, the Distant Worlds 2 thread now has me jonesing for some DW action, so will probably be firing that up sometime tomorrow instead. And with my currently reading Bernard Cornwell's excellent Saxon Tales books, am also feeling the pull of Attila Tota War and trying the Mercians again in the Charlemagne DLC.

Knights of Honor is a real gem. I have gone back to this game many times. I may just do so again. The trick is to get 3 merchants, and make trade agreements with the three largest countries you can find, that are not in your initial burst of conquests. This will gain you a tremendous amount of monies for expansions.

Damn have I played this game a lot! I stopped a couple of years ago, with over 10k games played.
My favorite are the mid-tier tank destroyers. It seems unfair...hide, with 100% camo, and crew at 100% camo, and let them come to you. My win rate for several of these is between 55 and 64%. One person CAN make a difference..as I average about 2.5 kills per battle, for my best vehicle.
...I'm not saying that I am a great player...but I will get the first shot in, or even the first two, then retreat to my secondary firing position. Rinse and repeat.
Battles of Norghan for sure, probably some Thunderbolt/Apache Leader, and I may well take tgb up on Knights of Honor.

I wish you well SDR,
I'll be playing some Endless Legend with the new DLC and the second scenario of four that Crossroads released for CSME, appreciate the AI capable scenarios Crossroads. Finally I'm sure I'll be getting in some 7 days to die.
This Endless Legend you all keep mentioning looks pretty nice! Never been drawn to this kind of games, but it sure does look purdy!
DCS
Dodging missiles. Fleeing the hordes of filthy capitalist pig-dog fighters of the Blue Team.
Good luck SDR!
Knights of Honor has a soft spot in my cold dead heart because it is one of the few games that allows players to take the throne of Wallachia without modding 😎
I will shockingly be playing The Witcher 3 this weekend. I think it has surpassed Skyrim for me and could be my favorite RPG. Looking at Grim Dawn or Doom too, to switch it up a little.
Sticking with the old standbys: Scourge of War:Gettysburg, Mount and Blade multiplayer, and maybe some CK2 or a Total War if I get drunk.
I'm too lazy to learn anything new. These guys scratch most of my itches anymore. Some RO2 or ARMA3 if I need a shooty shooty FPS hookup.
Good luck, SDR. I'm with Greybriar, hope everything comes out ok.
The big game this weekend is going to pnp D&D with real live people. 5, at least. They are approaching an abandoned town, looking for Reidoth, the Druid. They will find him. Along with Dragon Cultists. And a young Green Dragon. The characters are all third level. Hoping this ends well ;)
'If' you get drunk?
I'm currently having a bit of fun in Zulu Response, much more fun in Day of Infamy, and end up my night with either World of Tanks or World of Warships. I haven't been doing any hardcore wargaming lately.
Was preparing to batten down the hatches for a series of major storms passing through the PNW this weekend. Fortunately for me, unlucky for others, its looking like the really bad parts of it are going to hit north of me. Still going to rain and have some wind but its WA state, we have that all the time.
Since I'll probably have power this weekend its going to be a mix of Elite, World of Warcraft, and Crusader Kings 2 for me. Might play a few matches of World of Warships as well. Should probably do some CMANO beta testing but not sure where that will fit in.
Endless Legend
Order of Battle
Total War Warhammer
Particle Fleet - Emergence
So, the 3rd level adventurers didn't get eaten by the dragon. They even talked it in to going away, which is what Reidoth asked them to do in exchange for him leading the way to Cragmaw Castle. They are much the poorer for it as Venomfang shook them down for all their treasure. Down to the last copper.
Why, Dominions 4 of course.
Finally got a chance to configure Voice Attack for Elite. Was much much easier then I was expecting. Didn't have to change any of my HOTAS bindings like I was afraid I was going to have to. VA is working great, so far no major issues other then me needing to learn to speak better. Closing in on the Orion and Running Man nebulas.
In my Ackdarian campaign in
Distant Worlds, I've already discovered 3 independent worlds inhabited by aliens -- 2 of which were "lost colonies" of my own race, meaning they happily accepted my governance when I colonized them. Decent start so far. 8)

Hahahaha!! Those poor schmucks! ;D Out of curiosity, was there any way they could've gotten rid of the dragon without losing all their money, or was choosing poverty pretty much their only option?

I was using it as a roleplaying opportunity. I would have taken a coherent argument over an ability roll. I didn't get one. So instead of poisoning and rending them apart, I chose to relieve them of their accumulated treasure. Which was fairly substantial. It keeps them hungry for more adventure (read: coin) and gives them a reason to see Venomfang again in the future.
I played Dungeons and Dragons before it was cool. ;D
I was fortunate enough to have a great group of players for several years and boy did we play a lot of D&D. Then when I moved up to St.Louis I found an even better group that would have regular sessions. The DM at the time spun the best tales and ran the tightest games Ive ever played. So much fun.
Metal, have you ever played the old Against The Cult of the Reptile Gods? If not, you should try to find it for your players because it is a fantastic module with a ton of role playing opportunity, discovery, twists etc. I ran a group through many years ago, about the last time I played. Boy I miss it.
Here is one on Amazon
https://www.amazon.com/Against-Cult-Reptile-God-Adventure/dp/0880380004
Something you may add to your campaign. Maybe Venomfang put a curse on one of your party so that they are tied to him somehow and will indeed see him again in the future? Good roleplaying always led to plot advancements and side quests. Anything you can dream of.
I have been running the new 5th Edition rules. Including the adventure provided in the introductory set. Everyone in the group is a n00b. Including the DM (which is me (although, I have been playing so long that Keep On the Borderlands was the introductory module with the purple Basic rules, I have never DM'd an entire campaign)). I basically fly by the seat of my pants. I read far enough ahead in the module, due some bookkeeping and storytelling and we call it a night. I have it set on a map of my own design with some basic background, cultures and what not. but everyone is really enjoying themselves.

What is the new DLC? I have the one with the white floaty creatures, winter rules and magic pearls etc. There's a new one?
God I miss sit down D&D sessions. I usually was dm by process of elimination.
Not too much gaming this weekend. Got in some turns of Heroes of the Storm and an starting to roll in binding of Isaac. I had on run with Eden where I had the persisting tear and guppys head. Once I got some damage upgrades I was rolling, I literally killed bosses 2 seconds after spawning.
Overall I've been so busy weekends I haven't really been motivated to get into more complex games. Dom 4, distant worlds and some of the RPGs are calling my name though.
Although I plan to build a new PC in Dec so part of me is thinking to wait until then.
Have you guys seen this? I was jamming on some YouTube tunes today and the advertisement came up and I clicked on it. Hilarious. It's a game show where they mix Dungeons and Dragons and improv and have a special guest play along. All in front of a live audience. Then they put it to a mixture of animation and live action. I'm not familiar with these names but they are very funny.

Ended up playing a ton of DCS with Nef. hopefully the World of Warships seas didn't miss me!
Thanks for the kind wishes all. Had the pancreas biopsy done this morning. Wasn't too bad at all. Just some freezing and a big ol' needle in the gut.
Good news SDR, glad to hear all went well!
Good news indeed SDR even with the 'big old needle'.
Best of luck SDR. Waiting can be the hardest part.
Good vibes SDR.
SDR, I was able to pull a few strings and get you the most qualified nurse to work your floor. She's a little shy though.

Thanks MoreB, She's no Gus in a candy striper's outfit but I guess she's do in a pinch.

Wait. I thought, by court order, Gus was not permitted to be 500 feet near either candy or strippers and 1000 feet from strippers named Candy. Something change?

Ambiguously ambiguous, at best, and open for interpretation. Much like the rules for Dominion 4 that I've been trying to learn. Now, which blurry pixel is the Mage? Sigh. Why do I do it to myself.
I think Gus started wearing Candy-Stripers uniforms when they caught him in the Candy-Stripers dressing room. I don't think he was ever officially one, though he did volunteer to lick all the stripes off their candy. He always got slapped when he did that for some reason. ::)
I never asked permission first. Just...grabbed their candy.
That qualifies you to run for President. :-X
How dare you insult me so.
No insult intended. I only meant to suggest that what occurred years ago should have no bearing on how you are judged today. Unless a whole gaggle of Candy-Groped Stripers start showing-up talking about how your fingers got sticky that is. ^-^
Good tune.
