Rather than make three posts...
These are looking interesting. Dishonoured 2 is a no-brainer for me, but I'll wait a bit after release to avoid disappointment.
House of the Sun
"House of the Dying Sun is a tactical space shooter that puts you in the cockpit of the universe's most terrifying starfighter. Hunt the enemies of the Empire and bring ruin to their people. "

Dishonoured 2
http://store.steampowered.com/app/403640/?snr=1_4_4__100_2
"Reprise your role as a supernatural assassin in Dishonored 2 – the follow up to Arkane Studio's first-person action blockbuster and winner of more than 100 'Game of the Year' awards, Dishonored. Play your way in a world where mysticism and industry collide."
Eisenwald: Blood of November
"Eisenwald: Blood of November is a new sandbox adventure in the world of Eisenwald. Take up your arms and fight for your cause (and find out first who or what you want to be fighting for). "

This looks interesting to me, in spite of the cartoony graphics (http://store.steampowered.com/app/458630/?snr=1_7_15__13). Supposedly there is a pretty deep turn-based political simulation. From what I've heard, it's a board game as if designed by George Orwell.
House of the Dying Sun has been available in early access for a lon time. It has a very cool art direction and aesthetic, but other than that enjoyment of the game has eluded me. I've had a lot of problems configuring the controls to my satisfaction and this has caused a tremendous amount of frustration.
That being said, it is one of a handful of space combat games that runs in both standard mode and in VR.
Thanks Ian
Eisenwald looks pretty damn nice. Going to add that one O0

You're welcome. It appears there are a few prequels to that too.
Thank you Ian. I just put House of the Dying Sun into my wishlist. Dishonored 2 is a no brainer for me, as I loved the first one very much. Will be checking out the Eisenwald game. I never really got into the first one but I didn't dedicate enough time to it.

I tried the first game again last night and what annoys me about it is (and maybe it's a setting) damage is dealt to the enemy before the animation occurs. Really spoils the whole reason for the animation.
There's only about a dozen reviews for the new Eisenwald game on Steam but most of them are negative because players think it's a thinly veiled metaphor for the 2016 US presidential election...

So then....it's shallow and full of deception and lies?

It's not entirely wrong, you know:

Anyway, I just started playing the base game, so far I like what I see.
I'm just about to purchase the new Eisenwald. Offered for 6.47 on Steam if you own the base game.
Is it an expansion or standalone? I bought the base game in Early Access, but by the time the release was official had moved on to newer and shinier things. I should probably go back to it one day.
It is standalone but discounted if you own the original.
