That might make some parts of Europe happy.
I guess I fail to see the humor in this event.
Not good at all.

It's not particularly funny at all, but given the current state of the world, the alternative is to go bat-shit crazy with worry.
I'm not worried, but it's certainly a serious matter.
The film is a bit of a shocker - poor guy just lying on the floor, presumably someone's father, someone's son
Erdogan is gonna blame the kurds.
the script writes itself
Hm.
Can we do a reverse Joker meme here? "Putin invades the Ukraine, everyone loses their minds! Putin invades Turkey..."

Yeah, I'm not fond of him invading anywhere, on any pretext, but going after Turkey really seems more his speed, and just as ultimately fatal to the Russian military in the long run. On the other hand, part of me does appreciate the historical irony in the idea of the Third Rome finally retaking Second Rome.
Any games for plotting a modern Russia vs Turkey fight?
From the NYT article: "But some analysts played down the notion that the assassination would lead to a new rupture, saying it could conversely bring the countries closer together in a shared fight against terrorism."
...I'd prefer that outcome, yep.
The "I'm not saying" meme could still be true (and still a horrible false flag op if so).
What a mess. This go several bad ways.
