Saw some mention of a/the writer being one who did the Peaky Blinders series. I never did continue watching that one even though my initial impression was good.
This one seems to be about a murderous vengeance spree..? And some serious anti-hero business. ^-^
Evidently it starts on the Beeb this weekend ~~>
If it's even half as good as Peaky Blinders it will be twice as good as anything else on tv.

OK. A good first episode, introducing and a little sorting things out. Great scenery. I wonder where they filmed it at? Some of the shots looked a little like Williamsburg, Va. Hardy has great screen presence.

Enjoyed the first one. Which rarely happens with tv series since they often require the first few episodes to gel.
Seems like another Count Of Monte Cristo type of vengeful return story, but obviously with some secretive twists and questionable sanity hidden in the middle. Which is just fine with me.
I'm gonna try to catch this tomorrow night with The Wife if she remembers my name.
Probably going to watch this weekend if I can pry myself away from binge watching The Wire.
OK. Second date went alright. I'm not in love but I'm not not-in-love either. If I weren't such a shameless hussie for Victorian England I'd ditch this little tease and snuggle-up to some real action refreshment but my hussie-side would never shut-up about it. So, I'm in for a third watching. I feel so dirty. :-\
I'm enjoying it so far. I was expecting a bit of a slow burn, so it's not bothering me.
It's starting to get there now. I'm in for the season. Like they didn't already know I'm 'easy'.
Another good show. The plot's really taking-off now. I'd sure hate to play Poker against Hardy. His expression NEVER changes. It'd be like playing one of the heads on Mt. Rushmore.

I'm liking it and Hardy is doing a great job. I also like the actor that plays the chemist.
Lincoln's head is too honest to bluff, but that damned Roosevelt grinning all the time-- you can never tell what he's holding. And watch-out for Jefferson! You can't see where either one of his hands are. ^-^
OK. That was a short season 1, but a good one. Looks like they're going to need a whole lot of new cast for Season 2. I thought I saw Tom Hardy smile once when he got shot so.... better be careful there Tom.

I'm hoping for some swash-buckling naval action next season. O0
