I think the only bumps will be from the sore loser whiney BLM-crowd, etc. :knuppel2:
I'm watching the live stream on Youtube now. Little surreal.
Ha a little? It's like watching an additional, earlier prologue to The Running Man.
There are some unhappy faces in the crowd.
Newshound Mom is keeping track this morning while I drive the ship. ;) She said she had to give up watching ABC's coverage when Cokie just couldn't get past focusing on Hillary.
Hydra Senator Stern (played by Gary Shandling in two movies) standing behind Trump, froggily goggling around while Trump is trying to remember to look like he's praying and not succeeding very well, seems a little too obvious. Fortunately, the next camera shot obscures him properly! :D
(He looked a little like Christie, actually; but Mom and I were joking about it. Mom says not Christie.)
Not many, though. I've been watching for a bit but I've set work aside now to truly watch. I've never watched an inaugural ceremony before.
A few things I've noted.
- when Michelle Obama came out, after doing the usual touchy/feels crap, she stood in front of the Clintons. Bill the Perv couldn't resist checking her ass out on live TV. Classy.
- there's a lot of self-important, preening, peacock-like wankers in the stands
- Barron Trump has a douchey look plastered on his face, and he's a fidgety little shit
- Trump looks like he just wants to get on with it
- the news needs to let it go about Hillary - they couldn't resist with election commentary
I'm watching the feed from WaPo. The commentary has been minimal and relatively balanced.
Well, Pence is in...
Pence sworn in. Hoping he brings good Presidential material later.
"Lock her up!" shouted when Pence shakes hands with the Obamas. ::)
The speech before Pence was... interesting. 'Hope this example of a guy who died in a civil war against the South provides solace today.' "Solace"? Really? I mean, yes, great story, but...
Mom notices Fox isn't showing many (any?) shots of the missing Representative seats (protesting in absentia).
Trump being sworn in now.
Shit just got real
Artillery shots made me jump a little... :crazy2:
His hair totally repels the rain water.
"Today we are transferring power from Washington DC back to the people." -- wow, he's hitting the prior administration hard in the opening speech.
Mom agrees with me, wrong kind of speech leading out. "This moment is your moment, it belongs to you." Okay, but I'll believe that when I see it. Victory lapping during the speech. "[Today] will be remembered as the day when America's people became the leaders of their country again."
Are we hearing distant booing in the background?? Like, outside somewhere?
He just ended gang and drug crime. Impressive.
So far the biggest applause has been for Pence. A really weak crowd.

America first and protectionism. Wow.
Winning!
He gonna have a busy schedule for the next four years. :o
Uh-oh. He just offended Vulcan-Americans with his 'red blood of patriots' remark.
Someone's going to be butthurt over the "beautiful students" comment, too.

I hope Trump does something about bandwidth thieves.
The look on Obama's face was priceless...the look on the dude sitting next to him was downright hysterical. I call it now, he's going to be a meme. Wish I had a screen capture of his face. :2funny:
Billy-boy has had a couple of priceless expressions too.

That look on Trump's face during the anthem was awesome! "I can't believe I'm the f**king President of the United States".
Buh-bye Clintons.

Now all I have to do is wait for my free bubble-ubb and eatin' that rainbow stew.

Trump is going to appoint Star as Secretary of Fluffing.
IT'S GONNA BE YUGE! :D
Weird watching the camera follow Obama's departing copter spooling up, taking off, and shuffling off into the... wait, they're still following it. They have cameras set up along the flight plan to the airport evidently??
...this feels awfully morbid. Like they're sure he's gonna get shot flying over the city and they're gonna make dang sure they get the footage.
Biden's taking the train meanwhile. (And they're gonna linger on him and his family walking to the train?) Seems like a meme opportunity...
0bama's are gone, gone, gone and good riddance! <:-) For the first time in eight years America is on the path to greatness again! Also gone (at least as president) are 0bama's narcissist I I I me me me speeches.
http://dailycaller.com/2017/01/20/trump-inaugural-address-focuses-on-we-leaves-himself-out-of-speech-almost-entirely/
Now hearing about windows being broken and cars burned (in DC?) during the inauguration.
Yeah, the commentator is connecting this with Schumer's "console Civil War" speech. The rioters are representing people "living in terror" of Trump's election. THEY'RE ONLY LIVING IN TERROR THANKS TO THE DEMOCRAT PROPAGANDA TELLING THEM TO LIVE IN TERROR! :tickedoff: (And that people can indulge in riot and get away with it being called peaceful, legitimate protest.)
Where are the Obamas going? Hawaii? I thought they were going to be living in DC.
And where are they right now? Is that Andrews?
Okay. Just read they are heading to Palm Springs.

Now that's change I can believe in!
Trump just signed the Mattis waiver.
Paul Ryan looks awfully uncomfortable.
The thing with the pens is hilarious.
Dammit! I'm late. I spent the whole morning with my wife's car at the dealership getting maintenance done. So.... I hear there's a NEW President? If I was Trump, the first thing I would do is change those locks on the White House in case Obama comes back. "Sorry Donald. I forgot my pen and phone". Then..... I'd put Barron to bed early tonight.

Gangs and drug crime stops today, or so I've heard. Torching and shattering property sort of counts? Seems connected anyway. For... reasons. :arr:
They are just "peacefully" exercising their constitutional rights...:knuppel2:
I was in the car driving home. Was at hotel long enough to see Trump arrive at WH.
I thought his speech was pretty good. Only said 'I' twice. Was directed to all Americans, unlike Schumers that was targeted to a few groups.
Those Dems that gave the middle finger to the US have no right to demand anything. When they talk about unity and coming together they need to be reminded they really dont care about it
