Might play some F1 2016 with the start of the new season.
Nice music choice PD. Never heard the song before. I liked it. Gaming this weekend...not sure. I'm in one of those "what do I play now" funks. Probably play more of my Ageod ACW2 campaign.
I'm still obsessed with Ghost Recon: Wildlands, so most of my time will be spent with that. I'm also going to mess with Afghanistan '11, the beta of Domina and maybe some ARMA III. Of course, if I get access to the PTU of star Citizen version 2.6.2, everything can change.
I'll be battling racial stereotypes in Mass Effect Andromeda.
About half way through Alan Wake and enjoying it so I will continue with that. Really want to get back into Witcher 3 but I have some other new titles calling too like Alien-Isolation, Dishonored 2 and TW: Warhammer.
PBEM Flashpoint Campaigns with OJsDad... his Germans are putting up stiff resistance to the Red Tide..... :tickedoff:
PBEM DC1: Warsaw to Paris with Jason has started... should be an interesting match up.
PBF Jena 1806 seems to have started up again, so again trying to bash Jason's units.
Still have The War from Compass Games on my table. Slowly learning the game.
Try some more Land Doctrine with it's new update.
Finish off my Egypt campaign in Civ VI on the massive True Start location Earth map mod. Currently own most of Africa, Sini, and Spain having taken out Saladin and Philip II. Currently best buds with Rome. It's the mid-1800s. Racing India to Mars.

it's calling...can't you hear it, there's poppy fields that need torching
I'll be getting back to a new CSME pbem, Sirte#2 , I'm Libya again looking to keep the British from breaking out and maybe, just maybe retaking part of Sirte. New patch for P.A.M.E.L.A. will be out so i'll get back to exploring that and i've had an itch to play some WITE, smaller scenario of course still not up to the grand campaign, looking at all those units makes my brain hurt. Croteam released a new front end loader for the Serious Sam games, so far just the first one is available but the second encounter and Sam 3 will be making it in. Sounds like what that means is the games will be brought into the Sam 4 engine and there will be workshop and you will be able to jump to any level in any game without exiting. It's free if you own Serious Sam games, it still in beta. http://store.steampowered.com/app/564310/
And Afghanistan '11.

Know your role, your like our forward scout on new games \m/
Wife and girls off to NYC sunday so it'll be me, the dog, some Finnish metal playing loudly and video games, mostly ones I'd rather not play when the kids are awake (Witcher 3, BF1, sniper elite, etc)
I know this isn't Friday topic stuff but where did JD go? it's been a long awhile, always enjoyed his perspective on things.

Thx, nice to know he's doing fine. I wish him well.
I will try to finish-up my DC 2: Case Blue Op. Uranus campaign where I've got the Axis by their shorts for a Major Victory in the brewing. Maybe go back and check-out Neverwinter Nights 2 which I haven't been to a long time.
While I would like to mess with Af'11 this weekend, I suspect I'll be (1) dodging lightning bolts with the new round of blizzard weather (and its attached southern tail, more relevant for WestTN); and (2) working on DC1:Blitz vs Barth and setting up my AARs of the same. Which has somewhat superseded my prior AAR project, also still on the burner however.
Theoretically also SOW:Waterloo on Saturday afternoon with Asid and the Dogs of War.
Everybody's gone to Total War Rome Roma Surrectum III !!! With Windows10 !!! Gods Be Praised :notworthy:
I thought I'd never see the day playing Roma Surrectum anymore after the original RTW games stopped running as of Windows 10 :smitten:
Happy happy happy \m/

Whoa.
Just in case: Rome Total War mod of the mods Roma Surrectum II kept me happy for years. RS campaigns with all the planning and empire building are just the tops. Then, of course, old Total War games ceased to work with Windows 10.
Now, the Roma Surrectum modders (http://www.twcenter.net/forums/forumdisplay.php?251-Roma-Surrectum) have not only brought the mod to RS III, but also figured out how to run it with W10. Original RTW game install of course required.
:)

I've connected with JD. All is good...he is really busy with a home renovation project so all his free time goes to gaming, rather than posting. He said he'll check in soon.
Hi - sorry all. I've been really busy the beginning of this year. Lots of RL stuff (nothing bad thankfully). I've just neglected forum stuff because the little time I have had I wanted to game.
But it's all good. Things look like calming down in the next week or so.
I'll be right back before you know it O0
Happy to hear from you, man! O0 O0 O0

Oh - and Wildlands for gaming.
I'm writing emails to various gaming companies customer service to get replacement parts and rant about the lack of quality control over their products. Basically I'm playing a Ralph Nader sim.

Graviteam -- maybe, and some CMANO -- trying to simulate the Houthis (Shia in Western Yemen who wiped out Al-Qaeda there and are now getting bombed by the Saudis) reported techniques of using drones to knock out Saudi Patriot radars and then hit Saudi ships or airfields with other missiles or drone boat bombs.
And maybe some Heroes and Generals

Ugh. That blows. :tickedoff:
Well..I have Saturday off today, working Sunday morning.
I have been playing Kingdom Rush on my tablet, ::) I wish there was something like MOO for tablet.
Still at Emperor: Rise of the Middle Kingdom.
My Polaris Sector game is going well.
I've been playing Order of Battle WW2 - The US Campaign in the Pacific (not the Marine campaign).
The AI has been really good. The Bataan scenario was quite challenging. Then the Nips beat me in the Coral Sea. I sank two carriers (including a fleet carrier) with no carrier losses! But the AI Japs pressed home the attack on Port Morsby and captured it (which they probably should have done in reality).
Although saddened by the loss, I'm really quite impressed with the Naval AI of the Japanese. Trying to find their carriers, trying to keep them from finding my carriers, taking care of Tuglai is a hard balancing act.
I think I know what I did wrong. But winning even after losing is not going to be easy.

The game makes it pretty hard to do Houthiesque things. Drones can't be flown right into their targets and anyway the Patriot shoots down the drone. On the other hand the Saudis will shoot exocets at aerostats (which doesn't seem to work on the terminal segment)...so that's interesting.
I replayed the Coral Sea battle and managed to win. One (of three) Yorktown class carriers were sunk. My other two fleet carriers were lightly damaged by subs. But I managed to sink the Port Morsby invasion fleet this time, sank the Jap baby flattop and also managed to sink both Jap Fleet Carriers!
I sank the second Fleet carrier on the next to last turn of the scenario. I managed to sneak in a sub past the screen, and torpedo the carrier for some damage. Then my SBDs finished it off. I did not find the carrier until 5 turns were left in the scenario although I had suspicions where it was based on where the Jap planes were coming from.
I lost a couple of destroyers. More destroyers were damaged. One Heavy Cruiser just avoided being sunk. I did not lose any air squadrons, but almost all of them got shot up badly (especially the F4Fs).
Spent most of my day working on a new CMANO scenario. Also put some time into Afghanistan '11 and The Division which I picked up on sale. I want to like Afghan '11, and there are parts of it I do, but overall I think its the first Matrix game I feel I wasted my money on. Not to far into The Division. Picked it up mainly for the change of scenery from World of Warcraft. Tomorrow I'll probably split my time between more CMANO, The Division and Ghost Recon.

Order of Battle: World War 2. The US Campaign (not the Marine campaign).
I've been debating that player unknown battle ground game but...

My best friend Riley, 12 year old German Shepherd mix, died a week ago today. When I looked at this thread on Friday I realized I hadn't been on Grogheads since he died. Tried continuing my Civ5 campaign (thanks again Jamus for the steam key) but only made it one turn before quitting. Friday afternoon I went out and got a new pup named Tanner. 5 month old mixed breed that is a bundle of energy.
Thought I would start playing War Thunder again during weekend (played an hour almost every day for two years) but now it was puppy insanity that prevented me from playing. Anyway, things are settling down and I managed to play about 20 turns of Civ5 today. Hurray! BTW, great song and video at start of thread.
Condolences on your loss, bobarossa and congrats on the new member of the family!
Sorry for your loss, dogs definitely become a close member of one's family.
You're welcome for the key, condolences on the loss of a loved family member and congrats on the new addition!
Hugs for the loss of your friend
And your new one looks crazy!! You'll have your hands full there
Very sorry for your loss, I know its not easy to cope with at first.
Sorry to hear that, bobarossa. :( The new pup is probably just trying too hard to cheer you up. :)

+ 1 My condolences
My condolences Bob, I love dogs. Tanner looks awesome though. His puppy insanity phase should be ending in about 4 years if he's anything like my overgrown insane pup.
My last dog was housebroken when I got him (10 months). This is my first attempt at it and I've had to learn a whole new level of vigilance. He was insane for 4 straight hours after I brought him home from the shelter. I think he was making up for 2 weeks incarceration. He's much calmer now (if that can begin to describe it).
edit: I typed that while watching him throw toys around the room. And thanks for the condolences, all.
Edit2: forgot to mention that the death was unexpected, even at 12. I had just gotten news that his kidneys were holding up and figured I get to keep him another year. Apparently German Shepherds are prone to something called Hemangiosarcoma, a cancer of the spleen and heart. Gave no symptoms until it ruptured and he bled out internally. Played an hour of War Thunder tonight and only got Kamakazied once (my pet peeve).
I know it may be difficult to, but try to enjoy it 😎
My condolences. We remember fondly every dog we have ever had.
Congrats on Tanner.
