I don't have the skills, or patience, for such mode building, but am told this firm's model ships are superb.
Not convinced about their pricing, though.
the prices are actually very reasonable.
a 1/350 scale destroyer, after market photo etch sets (theres more then 1 per kit), base plate and mounting hardware, paint and materials and time spent easily comes to $400 - $500.
Agreed. I get catalogs that have museum quality models that can easily top out at $500-$600 or more.
That Nautilus model is a bit of an exception but the sucker is huge and you can see the workmanship that goes into it.
