Busy time for movies based on Stephen King novels
Looks like it could be good. Hard to beat the TV movie though....scared the crap outta me... but still made me want to read the book... which scared the crap outta me... :o
Saw it. (Pun intended.)
Any adaptation will lose a lot by being unable to properly reference the movie monsters used in the book. On the plus side, the cosmic grand finale(s) should play better with a big screen budget. Wonder who gets to cameo as the voice of the Turtle?

It came off as rather low budget, as did many Stephen King multi-part series, even back when it came out. At least it did to me at the time. The saving grace was the dude playing the clown. Dude nailed the creepy x2. I think he's the only reason it left such a long-held impression.
I'm sure, due to the inconsistent acting and low budget effects/filming, that it doesn't hold up well nowadays. Except maybe the few scenes with Pennywise doing his thing.

That dude is Tim Curry. Great actor... unfortunately he had a stroke about 5 years ago and is still recovering in a wheelchair....
That would make him even more creepy. A Killer-Clown in a wheelchair. :o
Real clowns aren't happy about the It trailer

I didn't feel like sleeping tonight anyway
^Is it because your mind is too busy trying to reason why Hollywood has hit rock bottom?
I gave up on that after Star Trek V
You want scary, watch Star Trek Discovery. :P
I'm not into torture porn.

Jessica Chastain annoys me, and I'm not sure why.
She's a damn good actress.
Mmmmmm...well...she was kind of wooden and dull in Jurassic Park, but I get that was probably the character.
She was pretty good in that Black Mirror episode, but maybe it's the social media obsession aspect that annoys me. I just rewatched that episode and it was pretty good.

Well damn. I did a quick search on her for the Black Mirror episode and she came up. That's weird.
She was very good in Zero Dark Thirty (Jessica Chastain that is).

I'll forgive you BC because DAMN she looks like Jessica Chastain - and I also thought that was her in Jurassic World :idiot2:
She was excellent in Mama and particularly The Martian, I thought.
